I'd like to see what Turris can bring in the playoffs. If he elevates his game like last year, we've got a serious 1-2 punch with Spezz and Turris. Could be a 1-2-3 punch if Smith finds his offence again.
Yeh I have Smith marked down as a key forward for us this series. He needs to play how he was playing early in the season and bring a scoring punch with some nasty
Seeding shouldn't matter. The teams are about equal. Experts should know that.
Go sens go
I prefer they think so little of us. That way, if Ottawa does lose, we were supposed to, so no one will really have anything to say. But if we win ( ) people will be surprised.
Even if the Sens win, no doubt that all of the "experts" will just brush it off as a fluke, and we can keep flying under the radar.

The only way the 'experts' say it isn't a fluke is if we win in four games. We will be forever underestimated by the media.
CBC really looks to be pulling for Ottawa with their TV adds. It'll be interesting to see Glen Healey's commentary towards the Sens being a former Leaf and Ranger. We might actually see forced homerism. Its going to be glorious and forced.

Kuba passes it to "Gonchar" (ie. #65 Karlsson)... up to the Ottawa Sens player, to Spezza......
...
...
was that offsides? The whistle was blown.
...
oh, did the puck go in the net? He scored.

It seems like the refs are ready and willing to blow thier whistles, Sens need to play smart hockey, can't afford to be on the PK. Still can't get over how the Canucks handed over the game to the Kings by taking horrible penalties.

Lots of penalties going both ways will work in our favour. We want this to become an offensively oriented series and our PP is significantly superior. They have an edge on the PK for certain but Winchester is back and I think Alfie will see more key PP time. Maclean doesn't have to or least he shouldn't limit our big guy's minutes in this series.
I might be wrong in this but I think Ottawa's PK dropped around 7-8 spots after Winnie was the recipient of a dirty hit from Paul Gaustad.
I wanna see Greening come out of his shell tonight and assert himself physically on their D. He can open up so much space for Spezza when he's on his game. He and Cowen could be huge in these games. Literally.
