Only thing Holmgren had to do for quite a while now is get a goalie and he just couldn't. 'Cause he has the rest. He'll also need to build a stronger D at some point but up front? That's strong.

Yet....I don't see how people can't see Boston at least going to the conference finals. Just look around and see the goalies and the defense in the east. And then you look at Boston and Thomas. To me that's easily a conference finals for them, and somehow, I predict them a Cup finals. Then, it might be more complicated.
Philly stays competitive cause they always draft well plus when they find an asset they want to move, they get full value for him. Look how they netted Simmonds, Voracek, Brayden Schenn, Couturier and 2nd and 3rd rounder for Carter and Richards. Great turnover of the roster that gave them more weapons at earlier stages of development.

I take it that Gaustad is on a PPG pace? Maybe he was worth a 1st round pick.

That's trusting your scouting department right there.

Yep easily the best forward for Nashville. I'm happy he's playing so well.

Happens that their earliest pick in JVR is the most dissapointing amongst the other first picks they had in Carter, Richards, Giroux and Couturier. True that they've managed that part well. Yet, can't believe Holmgren and Co didn't wake up and addressed the goaltending. Makes no sense 'cause if they would have, they'd have a cup by now, en route for another one.

Credit to Trotz though he is an amazing coach, best thing that can happen to AK.

That's not quite what Babcock said in context, now that I have seen his exact words. Of course AK is the best trade acquisition, since Hal Gill and Paul Gaustad provide less than he does on the whole.

Massive interference on Radulov

Terrible non-call.

Pretty strange isn't it? A coach that actually recognizes a guy that plays well and use it accordingly? Not sure I've seen that for the past 10 years here....

Pittsburgh fans are the quietest in the league. No passion at all.

Trotz actually has gotten AK to "get it", which is a testament to his ability to coach(and Jacques Martin's INABILITY to do so).

Sounds like Forsberg.

I would still pick Huberdau...I think he's going to be special.

But Strome over Couturier absolutely baffles me...but that's the Islanders for you.

You can't compare motivators like Trotz to bookworms like Martin, this series will go 6-7. Will keep eyeball on it, for sure...

Well right now, Forsberg HAS to be great at a U-18. That's not what the U-20 we're talking about here.
