I don't have a problem with White being in the lineup, as he's actually played well as of late, but I have a big problem with White AND Murray being in the lineup. I'm sure TMac will defend this decision by arguing that we need them both in to counter the physicality and forecheck of the Blues, but like you said, it's much more important to be able to get the puck out of the zone quickly when dealing with a team like that. Does TM not remember how the defense fell apart when we lost Demers' puck moving abilities in the playoffs last year against a fast, heavy forechecking Canucks team?
agreed, its gotta be one or the other.
personally i think demers was being rested so we should see him.
boyle-vlasic
burns-braun
demers-white
would be my choice, and i would probably trot out boyle and vlasic/braun with the heavy minutes as the game goes on. try to maximize burns offensive output.
the big key is going to be our 3/4 Centers. they are the linking piece to the breakout generating a rush.
hoping to see
wingels-desjardins-mitchell
winnik-moore-galiardi
each line has a balance of two players that can break the puck out consistently (going of CORSI here) and one guy who can provide extra speed.
if handzus sniffs the line up, we will lose the bottom six battle, and probably wont beat their forecheck all night.
Boyle on #sharks opening on road: "The only thing that changes really is that on the road you don’t hear the boos from you own crowd." Hmm.
You passive aggressive ****.

This pairing is a gift to the Sharks. With the relative special teams play in head-to-head matchups, the Sharks are better off playing 5on5. This is their chance.
this year sharks team is different and its exciting as ****, the one thing that ive noticed in the last month is they wont fall apart. they'll bite back and do whatever it takes to win. for example, thornton fighting, the clowe trolol bench play, and most notably the last game of the season come back win.
the seasons before mcyellin came in they lost because they were playing regular season hockey in the playoffs. with our new coach theyve learned how to dial it up and play with heart and passion. with that said this series might not be a walk in the park for either team but it will definetly come down to who knows how to play playoff hockey.
prediction for game 1; sharks will be too busy respecting the blues play for the first period and a half, clowe will **** up the pace of the game with a fight, and big goals from couture and marleau. 2-1 =D

Reason: addional info
They didn't have a 6'5 horse that can carry pucks out of trouble either. Between Burns, Boyle and Braun they should be able to move the puck.
Very true. But I think we'll need as many puckmovers as we can get, so I'd still rather have Demers and White/Murray in the lineup than White and Murray. Another reason I'd want him in is because of TMac's refusal to give Braun PP time, meaning that Vlasic replaces Demers on the 2nd unit.

Well it's always black armor thursdays at the tank. But yes as Len said they are offered 3 choices (exception home teal) if they want to wear road whites or 3rd jersey.
The other reason is that players or goalies say it's harder to see the puck when a team is wearing black jerseys. (derpa derpa Niemi). lol.
But last year is the first year that teams could use their 3rd jersey if they like (see nashville's ugly mustard jerseys from last night).
Nashville doesn't have a 3rd anymore. The yellow jersey they wear is their regular home jersey introduced at the start of this season.
Hell, they haven't even worn the mustard jersey since the unis were redesigned at the same time San Jose's were. For the last couple of seasons before this one, their alternate was navy blue.

And he played pretty good in the playoffs, if we're being completely honest. I think he had two assists in that big comeback game against LA.
for all his failings (and there were MANY) he did play well in last season's playoffs. well, aside from almost taking down nemo in the crease once.
i was at game 2 against the wings and had just told my friend that wallin would likely cost us the game when all of a sudden he jumped up in the rush and scored a goal. i couldn't believe it.
i am really skeptical of icing both Murray and White like most of you, but i feel that if the Sharks are going to win this series they will have to take dish out just as much physicality as they take.
Murray better be a Beast if he sniffs the lineup b/c he is not going to score and he is not going to be effective defensively unless he is punishing people physically (open ice hits, clearing the crease).
