Tim Murray on The Team yesterday indicated that he expected as many as 8 Black Aces called from Binghamton. 1 goalie, 3 defenceman and 4 or 5 forwards.
I assume that is in addition to any Sens roster players not dressing.
Our Black Aces (my guess) would then look like
Auld plus Lehner
Carkner plus Borowiecki, Wiercioch, Gryba
Konopka, Butler, Klinkhammer, plus Zibanejad, Hoffman, DaCosta, Petersson and Silfverberg
Is that not too many guys? - is there not a limit? What role can they fill besides just hanging around to watch and absorb the experience?

Rotate in and out of the lineup if guys get sluggish or we need a kick of energy. I could see Borocop get a game, same with Zibby, the rest would fill in should injuries take their toll.

It's possible, but if he is injured as rumoured they might prefer he rests up.

Murray did mention Stone as one of the guys who will get a long look in the next days (I assumed in Binghamton) - he stated his name alongside Silfverberg and Zibanejad, so I guess that means he's very highly regarded to step in sooner than later.
I would think that there would have to be quite a few injuries before we see any prospect play in any playoff games. The exception might be Silfverberg for a game but he would have to impress big time to get into a game as well.
Goalies - Anderson, Bishop, Lehner & Auld in that order, Anderson or Bishop would have to get hurt in order for Lehner to get the call.
Defencemen - at least two defencemen would have to be hurt in order for Boroweicki to get any games.
Forwards - they might insert Silfverberg, Zibanejad or Hoffman to try & get some sort of scoring spark if they are down a few games or because of injuries. Otherwise they will go with the guys they have including their extra players Klinkhammer, Butler & Konopka who have been there most of the yr would be my guess.
Also, if Alfie is out, I would hate to see Butler get inserted into the lineup. Butler and playoff hockey just don't mix in my mind. Is Hoffman a worthwhile option at this point? Seems like he had a really strong second half.

Don't worry, it would be Boro. He's clearly ahead Gryba on the depth chart, and plenty tough himself.

I also think Butler hasn't had a good year. But he has shown he can be effective and not hurt us on the bottom line if he can't score. The 4th line hardly played at all last game at ES. Butler does have a great shot and he could have a really good game. If he can't produce with say Turris and Foligno then he can just get sent to the 4th line after a half dozen shifts. If he can find some magic then every goal will be huge. He should have some fresh legs at least. He managed 13 goals in Bingo's Calder Cup win.
I was thinking Konopka was not even going to dress in the playoffs but he was huge in helping us win game 2. Maybe Butler can find the same magic. We have a deep bench, time to try to use it I think if Alfredsson is not able to play.
I trust Maclean and Murray to make the decisions. They have done a great job all season. So we will see.

Don't be too sure, Gryba was named the team's top dman for the year at last nights game. Gryba has without doubt logged the top minutes for the last two months.

I would be shocked if Gryba played before Boro. We'll see.
