I heard the "3 player rule" was done away with for future U17 tournaments. Hockey Canada wants to see the best players at the tournament - regardless of where they live. Same decision regarding the "3 player rule" applies to Pacific and West teams as well.

jarrod toole and jonny erbs had a very good weekend at the world selects invite tourny in maine last weekend are they off the radar
What I really want to know is, will Duncan MacIntyre be in the QMJHL next season. All season I was expecting him to be drafted by a Maritimes team and play for them and I'm just finding out now that he's a duel citizen who may be playing for the states. Does this mean he won't be going to the Q? With him looking at the USA programs, does he drop in the draft? Does Cape Breton select him in the 3rd or so round and convince him to come play at home? Him being invited to a USA camp confused the hell out of me and raised so many questions.
Duncan is currently attending the Q combine in Montreal this weekend with his team mate Lucas Batt. If I was a betting man, I say he plays in the Q next year!

IMO Erbs is definetly off the radar, but Toole is a possibility. Im not trying to change topic here, but i see Toole getting drafted, as with Erbs i do not...

Invitations have gone out for Team Atlantic U17, anyone know how many they invite? Is there a provincial rule for how many get invited from each province? ex. 15 from NS, NB, NL, PEI?
I thought there were 10 players invited from each province? I am sure White is on that list.
They could have more from NS and NL invited if they truly wanted to field the best team. Just not as much depth from PEI and NB, there will likely be 3-4 quality players from those provinces compared to could come from NS and NL.
NS and NL are always in the Gold medal games in the Challenge Cup (HPP) each year and in the minor hockey systems at Atlantics. Quite a rivalry between them.
Last time I didn't have Whiffen in there, I had a solid '97 born Nick Dawes because he's really good lol never actually watched this Whiffen kid before, I've seen his team but never paid attention to him. A couple D changed, last time I had a '95 born lol Somehow I left off Nickerson last time but that's all fixed up.
Just wanted to mention, a couple kids went undrafted in this that went to the Youth Olympics. Sam Walsh (PEI) and Jarrett Crossman (NB). What's the point of the tournament if they bring kids who have limited potential?
Nick Gibson from Halifax was drafted by the Moose but he didn't get an invite for U17.
The fact that they HAVE to select 10 from each province to tryout is as silly as the 3 from each province on the team rule! Why change one rule but not the either??

I went to watch Gibson right at the end of the season and he wasn't dressed. He may have had a serious injury? Unsure but I had him on my original list of guys to make it.
