I hate this sentiment.

Raymond isn't on the 3rd line, because he doesn't fit the 'identity' the brass want on that line.

Jannick Hansen has stated he plays differently, when he's on a line with Raymond ie, he doesn't finish all his checks or dominate on the forecheck like he can. Raymond on that line makes it soft, not to mention he's not playing well offensively at the moment so we take a physical player who can finish off that line (Higgins)replace him with Raymond and you have a pretty soft, offensively challenged 3rd line.

Kesler and Booth are good enough to figure it out on their own...Kesler needs to focus on hockey not embellishment. To be honest, if he's doing the same antics in game 2 i hope he gets called for diving...a 2 minute penalty might be enough to embarrass him and keep him from continuing with it.

Also hate the 'AMEX' moniker....its pretty tacky, isn't it?

Id like to see Lapierre On the third line with Pahlsson and Hansen. Big body to go against kopitar and maybe gets him off his game.

The Canucks have to stop taking stupid penalties (i.e. Bitz) and actually do something with the PowerPlays they receive before I'll start worrying about officiating.

Kesler getting roasted by local and national media. He refused to give an interview today and I think we're are going to see a very determined player tonight. I think Wednesday might have been a great wake up a call for a number of players. I trust this leadership group to come through.

I'd like that as well but I don't see AV splitting up that 3rd line just yet.

Lapierre-Hank-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Kassian
Higgins-Pahlsson-Hansen
Weise-Malholtra-Raymond

What about Ebbett with Kesler and Booth?

Good. Angry Kesler is motivated Kesler, and he's far more effective when he drops the stupid sideshow antics.

If I had a say in the lines...

Lapierre - H. Sedin - Burrows
Kassian - Kesler - Booth
Higgins - Pahlsson - Hansen
Malhotra - Ebbett - Raymond

I really don't know what happened in game 1. They were either way too jacked up or are feeling a little vulnerable going into the playoffs. As I said though, I really like the leadership group on this team and I think they'll reign this in and play like the team they are. Win or loss, I just want to make sure they play like they can. If their best isn't good enough, then so be it.

Prediction for tonight:

2-1 Canucks

This. As much as it would be good to see him back, his health needs to be priority Number 1.

Botchford Confirms:
Quote:
In the aftermath, while waiting for the faceoff, Burrows scooped up snow with the blade of his stick. He began flipping it, and then, cradling his pile of snow, he pointed the blade toward Richards. Many saw it as him poking fun at some, well, alleged lifestyle choices. An official thought it offensive enough to jump in the middle, putting a stop to it.
