I want an intern of my own one day. I know my company has had them in the past.
I wonder if I could get pacman to do it, he's looking to get into the field I work in...Haha

Taking my first step on the road to applying for internships.
Meeting with an adviser at school to go over my resume. My old resume from HS was so crappy
I feel like I ask everyone this when I see the word "internship" (and have likely asked you before and since forgotten), but what field(s) are you looking at?

Same here. Once I have my own intern and a set of keys that go to more than just my office, I'll know I've made it in the working world. Although maybe I should start with getting that first job and then worry about the rest... But dammit I would be the best intern supervisor ever...

Yes and no. Depends on what kind of stuff you're applying to, how competitive it is, and their hiring cycle. Generally speaking it is late, but sometimes there aren't enough applicants for some positions and they take applications now and just operate on a much quicker hiring schedule. Its partly what you're applying for and partly luck on that one.

It felt pretty good that my first Intern went on to get a job paying $55k his first year. Problem was it wasn't with us....Dumbass company didnt want to pay. Kid was smart and fit in perfect. Good for him though.
He got paid pretty well with the Internship/Co-op...I think he made @ $18/hr---This was 5 years ago..

If it comes with a salary and you don't expect me to know anything (as I know you don't work in a field related to my experience), I'll gladly be your intern. I've been a professional intern on and off for almost 4 years now.

That's awesome. I hope to have something like that happen to me one day.

Yeah, definitely no salary. And no experience is fine, but basic understanding of my field is required. You have to do my work after all,

Not true you can get something but it might not be a palce you like (Get a place no one wants). I got my Postal Inspector internship a month before the semester started. And it was better then I thought it would be too.
Edit: I got really lucky..........
