Win or lose, hopefully there's no diving or embellishment from our side the rest of the series. So embarrassing.

Richards was certainly a beast for the Kings in Game 1. Maybe Kesler should re-watch that tape of Jonathan Toews that MG had him watch before last season.

Stick to hockey and work hard, that's what I'm hoping for in Game 2.

My 2 cents:
The Canucks are the best team in the NHL, but 3 things need to happen for them to win the cup.
1. Get out of their own way! Play hockey.
2. Sedin needs to come back.
3. Elder needs to play like the number 1 dman that he is. He had an awful game last night.

No chance of that happening. Can't believe this team thinks they can get away with that crap after last years playoffs. Refs will not give in to that nonsense again.

Kesler needs to be playing the way he is suppose to and not him making an embarrasment of himself and his team. Last night really drew the line for me and for the first time I was actually embarrased to be a fan.

Every team dives and people who argue that are just dumb. But kesler last night took it to another level and someone has to stand up to his ego and tell him how it is.

Completely embarrassed in our own building but this could turn into a good, long series. Glad nothing happened to make Luongo lose his mind.

Somebody must've told Kesler to step up and play like a captain because he looked like Dustin Brown out there.

Except Brown actually had a good game last night. Only one of them made a fool of himself, and it wasn't Brown.

There is a reason that since the trade deadline the Kings are #2 in GF and #2 in GA.

The Canucks need to stop trying to play physical with the Kings and instead use their speed and skill to score. They just don't have the physicality to match the Kings who have big hitters on every line and can match any team at it.

Its going to be tough for them to earn the benefit of the doubt in 50/50 penalty calls in future games aswell after the refs see last nights theatrics

Its also crazy how some people think that last goal was flukey with the bounce off the skate. That was 100% intentional by Carter, why else would he have his stick nowhere near the puck and doesn't even try to get his stick in the way. If that was Crosby, the league would be calling it 1 of the assists of the year, so sick

That game last night was very entertaining. Too many PPs for my liking, but it looks like the refs are trying to put a stop to some nasty stuff early on in the playoffs. I don't think I have ever seen so many charging calls in a game before.

I think people are starting to realize that LA is in no way an 8th seed. Reminds me a lot of Anaheim back in 09. Van is going to have their hands full with this team, but it's going to be a great series and really could go either way.

Both goalies played great last night, and kept things from getting out of hand on the scoreboard. If the Pit Philly game hadn't been such an epic comeback and OT win this would have easily been game of the night. I look forward to watching the rest of this series unfold. Part of me just feels gross for cheering for the Kings though...

Looks like the Vancouver fan doesn't want to update the result of game one in post one.

well.........

exactly what most people predicted.

Vancouver is a nice regular season team but simply and plain lacks
the class, talent and depth to be a playoff threat.

The Kings outplayed them at any game aspects easily,
it was almost looking like no efford was needed.
Sooner or later Vancouver has to realize thats not enough to dress some figure skater and one goon to make any noise in playoff hockey.
Luongo showing his regular playoff style the next games won't help either.

If they don't change their attitude and game effords they will be blown out of playoff in 4 games.
Just running over the goalie and having a mortar shot to score goals won't help them in future.

With that said i hope for a superior series ahead, this game was so loopsided it was almost not worth watching

Great game last night by LA.

People can't blame Luongo, he played well.

Woops. Didn't even notice the results tab.

Still shaking my head at how good Richards (and Carter) were. As I said before the series, beware of teams hitting the reset button in the playoffs. The Canucks are going to need to bring their lunch buckets and hard hats if they want to win.

Yes agreed. When Kassian is getting charging penalties for a hit that went unpenalized about 15 times in the same game, its time for the Canucks to stop trying to be physical and just play a fast game.

Glad to see Carter's ankle didn't appear to effect him all that much, he was flying out there at times. Any Sedin updates?

We Kings fans are asked how we can have such confidence in the team. It's because we know how good the Kings actually are. This is not your typical 1-8 first round matchup.

Brother, this series is going to be a dogfight. Keep in mind if playoff seedings were based on the results of the final 20 regular season games, the Presidents Trophy winners would be the lower seed.

The Kings started scoring goals at a much higher rate since the acquisition of Jeff Carter. They are peaking at exactly the right time.

The Canucks need to get their game back, and fast, and need to get Daniel Sedin back too.

4-2, scoring with less than 5 minutes to go to take a 3-2 lead... and that's lopsided? It was a close game on the scoreboard but LA had the run of the play thanks to the penalty situation.

kings fans are awfully over-confident for winning only 1 game in a series

I would say the Canucks fans are perhaps a bit overconfident right now. They don't believe their team can actually lose. But indeed they can. Get ready for a hard-fought long series.
