Canucks are dealing with the Daniel situation all wrong, IMO. AV should go public and say that DS is done for the playoffs, to eliminate the distraction. Then sit down privately with DS and tell him to keep working, keep trying. That way if he DOES make it back, it's a boost.
But what do I care, I'm a Kings fan!
Personally, I think he's not going to make an appearance in this series.
Good point. All I want is his health to come first.
If the Canucks are as good of a team as their standing position suggest they should be able to win without him.

It is possible that, if Daniel is indeed finished, the team has already been informed of this to eliminate that distraction, but the Canucks players/org. have been told not to go public with it. But I really don't have a clue as to what the situation is..
Recheck your stats, he played 33 games. His record was 20-8, and if you watched vc you would know he should be 20-7 but was credited with a loss against buffalo after lou let in 4 goals in 4 minutes.
.937%
Im not saying he will be awesome, but i also dont think you can claim he will get lit up.
Simpson is generally anti-canucks so it usually evens out. Can you blame a commentator for tryin to make it entertaining for the prime viewers? AKA Nucks fans?
Win it for Rypien... And Daniel needs to suck it up Lindros style. Play through the migraines cause the organization needs you/forces you.
Sure, why doesn't AV just say, "Hey Daniel, who cares about your lively hood or if you could function day to day if you took a BIG hit. Forget the migraines, dizziness and nausea, just get out there and play."
Nothing is lou's fault, and i agree with what you said entirely, but schneider plays alot like quick. If schneider gets the chance you might not have a goal tending edge. It may be even.
FWIW, I think Loungo is playing quite well and isn't the problem. Your defense just is having trouble with the Kings big bodies and its forecheck.

I'm still loling at everyone who was saying that the canucks would "turn the switch on" when the playoffs started. their play is exactly the same as it was during the regular season. have the goalie bail you out. only thing is, it isn't working anymore.
That was epic. Hughson asking if it was a goal and Simpson saying, "Yeah" was the best part though. The tone in Simpson's voice made it sound like he knew all along but let Hughson go.

So which C in CBC stands for Canucks? First or second one?
Watch Ottawa tomorrow..... won't have a Sens cheerleader announcing that game.

It's called sarcasm. AKA the Lindros reference. Glad you took notice.
Schneider wouldn't have made much difference even if he started last two games.
We really dont know that, he could have been worse or better. For as well as lou played, and how none of this is his fault, he did not look great on the last two goals. He did not have a bad game, but he was not other worldly either, he did a good job and the team let him down, but its not to say schneider couldnt have stole us the game, or it may have been worse.
I agree completely, although lou should have been able to cover the puck on your last goal, he has trouble collecting loose pucks.
But again schneider is an entirely different goalie.
Lou played well, and these games are not his fault, but schneider has stolen us games we have no business winning.
Of course he may loose, but as of this moment, i would play him game 3 for sure.
You don't change the best thing about Vancouver so far. Luongo has been huge, and Ballard just rebounded that puck off of Luo when he couldn't find it instead of attempting to move it away from the net. Luo had no idea where the puck had gone
But great game for LA, imo Quick's best ever postseason game. Needs to build on it now
Yeah but that's risky. You think Schneider is ready for a playoff start? Keep in mind that idea didn't really work against the Hawks last year.
He is more than ready, the guy is just a big game player. Even against Hawks last year he was fine. Not that Luongo has been the problem, but a shake up might do wonders.
