Winter Classic jersey leak?

So, just watching FS-D and was surprised to see this:

I could be reading way too much into it, but there's a 1950's-era throwback with a Winter Classic patch on it and it doesn't really make sense for it to be there. It could be fan made, but why would someone throw that patch on that jersey? And why would FS-D have it?

Hm. Interesting. Could be one of many concepts they're testing. I'd like to see more substance to the jersey, but such is the fate of a franchise with little variation in logo and kits over time.

Not to be a pahty poopah but that looks exactly like one of the vintage collection wool sweaters you can buy for around $100. Like identical from what I can see down to the color, stitching, logo and neck shape. I have one and wear it weekly and this looks like one.

And correct me if I'm wrong but that crest on the top left looks identical to the Winter Classic logo used when we played at Wrigley Field. The NHL always changes logos for playoffs/outdoor games.

I think someone took a patch from 2009 (here) and a classic sweater (here) and hid the stripes on the arms.

Probably, on closer inspection it does look like a mitchell and ness throwback with the 2009 patch. Weird.

The may live again!

To get technical, it's not a M&N. If it was I'd still be saving up to buy it lol.

Those are cool but we already wore white against Chicago. Being home this time around, the Wings will be in Red and the Leafs will wear white.

I actually think it is based on the patch on the bottom

Here's the one I mean. Click me.

Notice the placement of the bottom right patch. I can't tell if they look the same but why would a concept sweater even need a patch down there? That's typically put on afterward I think. IIRC the M&N Wings sweaters don't have patches there.

You could also sell a kidney... you only need one, right? M&N are great but will set you back!

That's what I told myself when I wanted that Howe throwback. Now I piss blood every 10 minutes.

It's exactly the same as the 08-09 Wrigley Field Winter Classic logo

for comparison, the rest of them:

I don't imagine they would slap that old patch on a mockup of the new jersey, if they are showing it to people internally and/or the NHL they will want the real logo on it.

I hope the jersey is something like this, but with the red and white reversed to give it the home look.

Also it would be cool since Lidstrom wore the jersey in his rookie season, and next season will probably will be his last.

This is the image if it doesn't work - http://www.google.com/imgres?q=lidst...9,r:2,s:0,i:77

I'm hoping that's the jersey they use. I would be pretty cool if they reversed the colors though.
