agreed. by nhl logic it's okay to drink/drive even if you INTENDED to do so as long as the person you hit w/ your car isn't injured

We should protest the league. Let's march on Washington.

I imagine that it didn't go over well in Denver, just like it wouldn't have been popular in Detroit if it happened to a Wings D-man. The funny thing is, that was par for the course in that rivalry, and with how those Avs-Wings games played out, so it seemed a little extreme but not really out of place. Imagine if that happened this season?? Utter chaos!

The play I'm talking about Zetterberg HAD the puck. You don't remember him soccer-dribbling the puck up the ice on the breakout?

MOD Maybe Zetterberg will man the hell up and run him into the boards. Don't just piss and moan about it, that does nothing. Do something about it on the ice.

ha wow, so your response to people on forums 'pissing and moaning' about what happened to Zetterberg is to in turn piss and moan about them. Maybe you should get off your high horse and join the rest of us in a normal discussion

So you would expect Crosby to go run a player like Chara or Pronger then as well? That's payback!

Well, when your idea of being a fan is wanting your team to lose, but fight rather than win and not fight, you're not going to be received very well.

Sometimes you just have to man up and deal with it yourself. You play Hockey for a reason and should be able to go out and hit a guy for payback. I have a feeling though Weber and the Preds will continue this stuff because the Wings will be to busy trying to get a PP out of it. Hopefully Bertuzzi does something. It would make this quite a bit more intresting.

Is that worse, or the fans who hope to lose just so they can see a brand new team next year?

By the way, our PP scored twice last night. And our PK killed every single PP the Preds had.
Wasn't enough to win though, was it? We also set up two of Nashville's goals, our play was so sloppy. We also gave up about 7 or 8 off man rushes, and only got one ourselves. Not the team they used to be. But all that does not really matter. I like the guys on the team and the skill level, and the ability to take crap and keep on playing. I always have.

But I cannot stand the indifference the team has to getting Z's face smashed into the glass, and everything else Nashville did to us last night. Most hockey players are not good fighters, but the Red Wings have NO ONE that can answer for Z. If anyone (Abdelkader?) tries, they will probably get the snot kicked out of them. Look at the long list of recent Red Wingers who tried to fight and got concussions from losing so badly. We are in this situation because Holland and/or Babcock does not think the team needs a player who can fight and stand up for team mates. If you cannot count on the refs to call it even or our power play to win games like it used to, what are we going to do now?

Why not. I've seen Datsyuk run both guys.
And Crosby isn't a stranger to delivering hits either.

Exactly. He's a Hockey player, not a god damn princess.

I sure hope Bertuzzi does something in game 2. Throw a big fit, fight someone, threaten to murder someone's family... I mean do something. These Preds are just going to keep running us till we are knocked out.

Goals would work too.....

In all seriousness. This is how you pay back Weber. Make his life a living hell every time he's on the ice. Finish all your checks on him. Throw a slash to the ankles here and there. After the whistle get in his face. Goad him into retaliatory penalties. But the biggest form of payback is beating the Preds. Outwork and outclass em.

The key is to win the games.

Moral victories are for losers.

If we fielded the team you want, we'd never have playoff injuries because we'd never make them. We'd lead the league in fighting majors though.

Will you still watch the sport when fighting is banned?

And to do that, you have to beat a team. One way to do that is to intimidate them, physically and mentally

So Kozlov wasn't suspended even though Foote was bleeding profusely? Then why does everyone believe Weber deserves to be hung from the Grand Ole Opry?

Not trying to start any fights, just trying to understand the thought process here.
