I think that's the best possible combo. Our top current forwards are on the top line. Our top past forwards man line two. Line three, Havlat - Fisher - Neil, would, and used to, devastate. Foligno, Turris, and Greening would be the best fourth line in the game. In brackets, Ruutu, Laich, and McEachern are the perfect seasoned veterans to fit in for injuries. In square brackets are the top rookie forwards ready to graduate. A nice crop indeed.
Chara would be the perfect compliment to Karlsson, Phillips and Volchenkov have proven chemistry, and Meszaros and Cowen would be an ideal mix of offense and defense from the back end. In brackets, Sutton - Carkner would be hell on ice when called up for injuries/rival games. In square brackets, Wiercioch and Borowiecki are the best that can be offered up in terms of rookie defensemen - due primarly to the graduations of Karlsson and Cowen as well as the trade of Rundblad, and is (shoring up the blueline) something that has always been a priority for GM Bryan Murray.
Prime Hasek was the best in the world. Ever. Anderson got us into the Playoffs in Year 1 of the rebuild as out starter, stands to reason he'd be the best backup in the league. In brackets, Emery and Elliott are both skilled tenders who fell on hard times in Ottawa but could quickly redeem themselves. In square brackets, Lehner and Bishop continue their dominance of the AHL until ready to promote.
Oh come on, the guy played one game for the Sens and if I'm not mistaken it was a road game!
I'm not sure how he can be anyone's favourite Senator, but it's your list.
I just really like him as a player, so it stood to reason I'd include him. It's hard to answer the question without more info; should it be favourite people as Senators (would not include Heatley), favourite players as Senators (would include Heatley) or favourite players who were at any point Senators?
