Doesn't really matter, one player from every team's going to the next round either way. We could actually see both Spezz and Karlsson if one gets voted and the other is selected by EA as a wild card selection.

Different company. I doubt they would allow Spezza on the cover after he was on the competitions cover. Best bet is to vote Karlsson.
BTW.. EA Sports NHL games are a much better game than 2KSports.
There may well be an expiration on the exclusive rights to use Spezza's likeness. If it was a 5 year deal, Spezza could very well be on the cover of NHL 13.
And there are positives and negatives to EA and 2K. 2K5 was much superior to NHL 2005, for example. 2K had many features that EA only recently integrated, but EA's graphics have been miles ahead of 2K's for a while.
That would reduce EA sales they would never do something like that.
If you go to EA's voting site, does anyone else find it funny/rediculous that Kessel is rated higher than Spezza AND Karlsson, and just slightly behind players like Henrik Sedin, and equal to Lundquist?
And I thought Dion Phaenuf was supposed to be the most over-rated player in the league... >.>
But yes, vote Karlsson. The hockey world needs to know of his brilliance!

Yeah. I don't think the curse works very well for the NHL games. Madden sure, but the NHL series is really hit and miss.
The thing is, having a player I actually like on the cover might actually sway me into actually buying the game, instead of waiting for the price to go down and then never buying it because the next game is coming out soon.
Karlsson is (unsurprisingly) the Sens' finalist for the NHL 13 cover vote. You can vote an unlimited number of times, so let's stuff the ballot and get our boy on the cover!
That sucks how he's against lundquist... Also how does st louis have 2 players advance (oshie and perron) when only 1 from each team goes through after round 1?
