After watching the video on the senators website of the Sens Mile Opening with Jim Watson and Cyril Leeder, I noticed that the people were walking down Elgin St with thundersticks. That hurt me a little bit inside haha. I cannot stand thundersticks.
The easiest thing to do is just make red towels if they want to follow with the Red idea but red thundersticks are an awful idea. I would much rather fans make their own noise instead of terrible manufactured noise.
I know this is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but I hate thundersticks.
Oh god...I hate the thundersticks as well. I think Ottawa probably has the worst marketing team in the history of the NHL. I'm not gonna show the spartan, but you all know what I mean...

It's also the fact that most people just put them down after the first little bit, they don't do anything. Towels look awesome when we score and in my opinion I find it odd to thunderstick smash or whatever you do when we score a goal. I would prefer vuvuzelas. If only...
This means absolutely nothing, could have just been used for the rally and that's it.
In all the videos of the series breakdown and Sens practices at SBP you can see white over a bunch of the seats. I'm thinking it's towels again and they've already started putting them out.
Can anyone who works at SBP confirm this?
Towels were great a couple seasons ago. They experimented with the thundersticks and pom poms and I don't think it was very successful.

They need to steal the Blue Jays' marketing department. Best in sports by far.

If I remember right in 97 against the Sabres they did different coloured pom-poms for the levels. Was pretty cool.
I don't mind pom pom's cause we've had some success with them.
Towels are the best though, probably cheaper for them to buy all one colour though.
I don't think the expense would be a problem. It is still a bulk order, especially since they probably order enough for a possible 16 home playoff games
