They did thundersticks in the 06 playoff run when we beat Tampa and lost to Buffalo. They were crap. One game they didn't get the shipment in on time and the crowd had nothing, it sucked. Completely failed. They didn't even make that much noise, the popped way too easily, they don't look good at all in a crowd and they have next to no appeal to bring home with you and keep around.

I was at the game that Buffalo eliminated the Sens - shorthanded, in OT. Vivid memories of stunned silence, followed by hundreds of thundersticks being popped by pissed fans over the murmur of the crowd leaving the building. Sour taste in my mouth about those things to say the least.

There ya go, merely a toss in to get some fan rally going, not THE to thing for home games for the crowd.

I took Vuvuzelas- there was about 3 of us with them- to my last game when I was watching Canada play in soccer at BMO Field and we were easily the most noticeable people in the stands. Even a couple players took glimpses here and there.

If we bring vuvuzelas to Sens game, WATCH OUT. Play them only when the other team has possession, hahahaha.

I'm going to Raptors game tomorrow against Celtics, should I use the vuvuzelas there? LOL

They were your age once upon a time, that will be you & everyone else on here some day, it's inevidable. Let me know when you are their age & kids are taking shots at you for being old, how you feel about that. Those guys could be our fathers & have the money to go to games.

I still have a towel or 2 from back in '99 or when ever we used them.

Isn't making the arena louder the point? Waving towels is a nice picture on TV but noise in the arena pumps up the players & the fans.

Right. Free playoff tickets and free beer to Olympiques season ticket holders.

We'll show 'em how it's done!

Thundersticks don't add that much noise, that's the thing. It sounds weird.

Do it!

Vuvuzelas would be the best idea, IMO. Even though towels look nice, and vuvuelas don't even sound nice, it make for an awesome atmosphere.

Probably pump/annoy all the players too.

Vuvuzelas are freaking horrible. I like a loud arena as much as any fan, but that's a bad kind of loud. The annoying, mute-the-TV kind.

I dislike thundersticks also.

People don't yell as much, they just make that weird metallic hollow sound with those stupid things.

Plus, kids drop them on people sitting in front of them because they're idiots.

I've been to pretty much every playoff game at home from 2003 on.

It's loud at SBP in the playoffs. No need for gimmicks.

Then again, how many teams have a mainly black jersey? not many.

LA...Boston...dallas...our third...who else? chicago's third...anaheim and phoenix's third.

so 4 teams plus 3 thirds.

white michalek baby! Also have the old white with redden! TBH, i used to see more whites back when white was the home colour. People wanna wear what their team is wearing. If the sens wore white at home, i wouldn't be suprised to see more whites.

I am not a fan of thundersticks, especially when the a$$clown behind you is banging them right behind your head. Towels are a good idea, maybe if the Sens fans wave them in unison, it will amplify the rattling of their jewlery.

lol for some reason when i went through every team in my head, some teams i didn't even think of their thirds. "home black? nope. next." pretty much. lol my bad.

But Most teams black is their third and they don't really use them in the playoffs. If we could switch to black being home (like it should...like it used to) then maybe we could pull it off.

I still prefer the red, black, and white per yellow...give gold to the 4th bowl/standing room at the top. haha
