There's a place not too far from there that does delivery, called shwarma house and they have a deal that's 5 shawarma's and 5 pops for $19.99. Its not the best shwarma but its a great deal. Solid if you're having a couple bros over for the game.

For beer, I was alternating between Creemore, Barking Squirrel, and Keith's Red last night. Then some scoobie snacks after the game ifyaknowwhatImean.

Going to game 3, suggestions in Kanata for dinner? Not fast food or chain roadhouse style? Any good owner/chef operated restaurants?

Can't help ya there (though Five Guys and the shawarma place beside it are both great). Not much going in Kanata.

I was thinking about getting their early from Orleans and having a bit of a splurge, BUT I haven't tried 5 Guys yet and hear good stuff. One has been built in Orleans but isn't open yet.

How about Bert's in the SBP? Is the food decent, and not toooo overpriced?

Five Guys is delicious. They make a damn good burger. That was my regular season spot before game, but thinking just doing it quick and simple with Wendy's tonight on the way to SBP. That is the thing bout Five Guys, massive lines and to actually perfect your burger and fries, you're waiting around for a bit. Popular spot for sure.

As for the question about Bert's, it's pretty solid. Good food, a lot of choices on the menu and good atmosphere of course. It's a tad pricey as that's what you would expect with it being in SBP, but it's very similar to the Marshy's that was there before. They have a damn good club sandwhich there and the onion rings are pretty good too. You could obviously do better, but if you've never been there it would be cool to check out.

Sounds like Berts it is. I'm leaving a bit early and should be out there for around 4:15, make some reservtions if they do that, and check out what is going on outside.

Damn, you're going early. You're going to have a ton of time to kill. No more than an hour on dinner, than another two hours to go at the Red Zone I guess?
Well, enjoy! I'm sure you'll have a very good meal.

The Burbs pub on Hazeldean is supposed to be decent.

I'll be ready. That's for sure.

For food there will be

And then I will drink nectar of the North, also known as Arboga 10,2.

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/13882/22115

There is a medieval saying about that beer, and it is, "it lingers, like Arboga beer".

12 of those should be enough.

Sometimes while watching, the sluices open up at both ends. I will be prepared for that too, and have a bucket next to the sofa.

I am ready to watch!

Well, after a few Arboga, the shape of the food does not matter all that much

Way to go man

6 Arboga = a bottle of winter warmer.

Vodka is a really nice drink, but not so much helicopter per dollar, what with the taxes and all. That's why I love Arboga, only, you need that damn bucket

I have a growler of Kichesippi Blonde in the fridge for tonight's game. For a truly local beer experience visit their brewery on Cambell Street, just off Carling near the new Canadian Tire. They will pour a fresh growler for you directly from the tap. Can't beat it really!
