Dylan McIlrath

This guy needs more seasoning that a single A Round Steak from a fifty yr old cow!! ! Big, Strong, Tough. SLOW!! Offensive game.....nil Defensive Game slightly above nil Toughness - Off the Charts. A First round pick.......someone was drinking heavily at the Rangers draft table!! My bet is this kid will start out in the ECHL and go from there. Josh Caron with Everett is essentially the same player as Mcilrath......possibly tougher and I am not sure he was drafted at all. Caron is another future ECHLer without the first round pressure on him

Not as bad as the post on here says. Big tough not many fight him needs work on d game wont be an offensive threat . 1-2 years in the AHL and he will be a 5-6 d man in NHL.

He actually skates very well for a big guy (he was a forward until he was 16) and has played very well on defense this season during the regular season and playoffs. Does not have an exceptional offensive game and likely never will, but a big hitter and has improved each season in the WHL.

If he is given proper time to develop (still only 20), he could be a Jeff Beukeboom/James Patrick level Defenseman.
