And we need to jumble everything together so that each topic's discussion time lasts only as long as something else interesting happens? Wasn't there a motive in the fall to get more hockey talk going on here? This is pretty relevant to the Devils and could be good discussion. It'll last its 3-4 pages and then disappear. The OT threads will be there to stay.
and the same conversation starts taking place in 2 places at once - that's why we merge threads. within 5 minutes of this thread somebody else posted the same info in the NEWS thread, which is NOT an OT thread. It's hockey talk.
and Brent Sutter stopped being relevant to the Devils once he began coaching in Calgary.

And then in the same thread the Weber hit is being discussed at the same time, and the conversation becomes diluted. Then something happens in an hour when the game starts, and the topic's dead. Whatever, not the place to discuss board policies.
I wonder if anyone else will give Sutter a chance. It's not like he had much to work with up there.
I think him and Feaster had different ideas in the direction of the team, and of course only one gets the say. I would rather have Sutter coaching and find a new GM. Feaster hasn't done anything to improve this club.

And I thought Scott Niedermayer stopped being relevant to the Devils when he left for Anaheim.
I agree with KFP here, a lot of people were bitter about how he left and they are probably interested that he got fired. I see no harm in a thread for it.
Look, I was a mod before (elsewhere) and we used to do it that way. Hell, even RG agrees with me. It`s a professional deformation I guess.
No probs, just find it a pet peeve when during the first few posts there is a "This belongs in...." post. Nothing personal. I definitely have the opposite approach to board policies though.
