Yeah this best every single other arenas in the world. I'm not so thrilled with the fans able to sit next to the players and that will probably have to be cut.
I'm interested to see what it looks like as a finished product. Looks great in the clip, and I'm sure it'll be a beautiful arena. I'll be surprised if everything in the video makes it to the final product.
Looks ok. There is a lot of stuff that is just stuid but again it is not the final product. I really hope that the training facilities are the Consol Engery Centre in Pittsburgh because those are just the best.
Definitely looks nice, though on a bit of a smaller size then I was expecting.
That being said, the open concourse completely behind the 100 level looks awesome.
Yeah the size was issue for me too, but still it's 18 000 seats, here in Montreal with 21 000 could seems to be a lot bigger but the bell center is built on height like the former forum. The likely wideness of the new colisee, is in my opinion very fashionable.

They might build a seperate center and arena like in Montreal if they have to money to do it.
Looks a lot like the WestGate plans they used to show it off to the public
Yeah only that every one of the season tickets and single tickets will be sold in less than a day and that for all the upcoming years that NHL hockey will exist in Quebec city.
Does anyone know if there was some comparable video of Energy Consol Center in Pittsburgh pre-construction...you know we could compare what they showed in the video and what actually made it into the building.
Also, in another official document from the city they used a lot of pictures from their visit in Pittsburgh as exemples of what was recently done.

Don't rely on that for the size, I think the point was mostly to show some features, particularly that open concourse, looks like an awesome idea to me.
Based on the video, I'd say the arena has less seats than the actual Colisée Pepsi, and we know that is not going to be the case.

If you look at the picture, I think there could be even more seats.
Unless it's a security requirement is there really a necesity to have 6 staircases from the side of the bench to the end of backzone (as seen in the picture) just for the lower section.
I think you could take the section behind the net, 3 staircases could be made into 2. You gain what, 2 or 3 seats per row for eliminating one staircase and given the image, there is at least 30-40 rows...that's 80 seats right there. Given this picture, where we see about 1/4 of the arena, you do that 4 times and you add nearly 400 seats. And unless it's a security requirement, to me it seems like a very minor change that could add a good amount of seats. Do the same in the upper section and you get 800 extra seats...that's going from 18090 to 18890...pretty close to 19k.
And we all know that those open sections/bars will be hard to not be filled. So if it's 18090 seated capacity, for a game night like a season opener you can bet there will be 20k people in the arena.

This has to be an accurate presentation of architectural plans that were made of course the perception won't be the same from a human eye.

Just to clarify -- the Pens also train in a complex similar to Brossard in Pittsburgh's southern suburbs (Southpointe). But they still have training facilities at Consol Energy for game-day training, as they do everywhere including in Montreal. Not only do road teams need training facilities as well but the home team still needs weight rooms/bikes etc. Pretty sure that's what Viper was talking about.
and by the way the Pavillon de la Jeunesse seats over 4k (about 5k including standing room).
