Another win would be awesome boost for the home games, but let's not get greedy . Although especially before the afternoon game on Sunday it'd be great to have another win. Let's go, Flyers!
I don't agree with everyone assuming that Pitt will get more calls tonight. Unless its a direct conspiracy with the league, and the refs are actually called on by the league higher ups to sway their decision on the ice, it just wont happen on its own. Think about it, if you were a ref would you want to be looked at and accused of essentially cheating for one team? If anything it hurts the Pens because the refs will look to be even more fair and let the ticky tack stuff go.
And Lavi and Torts did us a favor... hear any whining after game 1 and the offside call? Sure from the fans, but no one from the organization said anything. Orpik even admitted they missed the icing. So they can't whine either. This is all actually working in our favor.

Want to bet?
If I'll lose Flyers won't get penilized, I'll gladly lose this bet.

Go easy now, I'm not saying the Flyers won't get penalized at all!! That's almost impossible for them! I'm just saying there won't be any obvious over the top make up calls for the Pens.
I'm just not a conspiracy theorist when it comes to this stuff.

I am not saying that it's a conspiracy but I know Pittsburgh players going to fall embellishing and refs will make those weak/iffy/soft call.s
By the way did you ever hear any NHL executive calling refs out on a blown call like Cambell did?
Pens are gunna come out flying (well not really) and I think if the Flyers can survive the first 10 minutes the game is ours. And by survive I mean less then 4 goals against....
We need to get the first goal in this one because of how deflating that loss was for Pittsburgh. If the Flyers come out and get the first one it will prevent them from gaining confidence at home and take the crowd out of it. I am also interested to see what we would do with a lead from the start since we are not accustomed to such a feat. Bryzgalov as always will be huge, if he can allow less than 2 goals through the first I love our chances.
4 games tonight and 6 Referees yet to pop their cherry
Eric Furlatt-Steve Kozari-Chris Lee-Wes McCauley-Timmy Peel-Francois St. Laurent.
Given Laviolette's history with St-Laurent ("Typical Montreal" 2011 Buffalo Series & 2/11/11 Phoenix OT loss) My money is that he gets one of the assignments tonight in Pittsburgh.

@billmeltzer Tonight's Flyers-Pens officials: refs are Tim Peel and Steve Kozari, linesmen are Brad Lazarowich and Jonny Murray.

To be honest, it isn't even a conspiracy theory. The NHL both apologized to the Penguins and effectively suggested that they were wronged not just on the particular call, but that the outcome of the game was affected by that call--after all, the league doesn't issue clarifications / admissions of error very often.
If you don't think that will plant a seed in the minds of tonight's officials--that the Penguins are somehow "owed" something, then you have far more faith in the independent-mindedness of the average referee than I do.

I'll count that as win. Lee and St. Laurant would have been an absolutely cluster****.
Was Kubina's injury shoulder or some other upper body part?
He took a puck to the face but that was not the issue according to Homer.
It was never officially designated as a shoulder injury by the team but that was the assumption - shoulder injury. Kubina was mum on the specifics, too, following team policy.
