If Lilja and Kubina start skating now, they might be able to win a race for the puck ion the corner
Yeah--though I'm not sure what the alternative is? I mean, in theory, splitting up Carle and Kimmo makes sense--you balance size and speed, but that means one of Lilja or Kubina is going to have to play bigger minutes.
I'm probably late on this, but I just finished reading Bill Meltzer's article for the day.
I can't believe the league came out and apologized to the Penguins about the missed offsides call, and of course nothing is mentioned about the icing call that lead to the Pens 3rd goal.

$20,000 fine or not, Tortorella was right.
I agree..that sets up a horrible precedent. Why does the league feel a need to apologize in this particular case? Stuff like that happens every game what makes this case any more special? It's almost stomach churning...

Haven't seen a PR from the NHL about the too many men on the ice penalty on the Coyotes that was not called and was severely obvious - led to a goal.
So, was taking my trash out today and my next door neighbor, who's approaching 60 says to me.... " I better not hear that god damn siren again tonight" a friend of mine has a siren, which is probably as loud as the arena sirens. We sound it every goal... My neighbors hate me needless to say.
Bad blood in the past with Philly as a Bruins fan. Couldn't believe the epic collapse in round 2 a couple years ago. Obviously I feel a bit better since then, heh.. But again, hope you move on by destroying the frost chickens
I think there will be a lot of special teams, but it'll have a lot to do with inconsistency rather than playing the Pens.
DET and NSH are two of the least penalized teams in the league, yet in game 1 the refs decided to call everything just to show they could.
Game 1 against PIT's only had 4 penalties called (albeit 3 of them went to Pitts) and so because they didn't call a whole lot in Game 1, I think Game 2 will be an endless parade to the box.
...that's just how inconsistent this leagues officiating is
