War Of The Coaches
New Jersey:
Peter DeBoer, former coach of the Panthers and now coach of the Devils. He might feel slighted for having been ousted when the new Tallon regime entered but such is the life of an NHL coach, fleeting and ever-changing. He's found new life in Jersey, coaching the likes of Kovalchuk, Brodeur, and Elias. Clearly the Panthers will be facing the devil they know quite well.
Florida:
Kevin Dineen, rookie coach of the Panthers, has done a remarkable job with an almost completely new lineup and cast of characters that he's molded into a division champion. Dineen has always been about toughness and leadership as the former captain of the Philadelphia Flyers and Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes with oodles of NHL experience (both regular and post-season), as well as having coached the AHL's Portland Pirates to numerous playoffs.
Primary Target
Martin Brodeur, the legendary goaltender who broke records to become the winningest goalie of all time in the NHL. Brodeur has won 3 cups and is a lifetime Devil, a decorated athlete and a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer. But there's no denying that time is catching up to him and at 39 years old, does he have what it takes to get the Devils through another playoff series? If not, Johan Hedberg is more than a capable backup.

haha p-rock that wasnt meant literally. Having a game day thread past the first week in april ithat is what doesnt compute in my mind. First time in a loooooong time.

When I first moved down here from upstate NY I had never been to an NHL game just a few AHL games. The first year I was down here was the lockout the second year I got my native Floridian wife (complete and total hockey nut) an Olympic 4 packfor Christmas. You got to have an autograph session with all the players that were going to the Olympics. She hated Jbow from the time she met him at that signing thought he was an ass LOL. Not being a big NHL fan I figured how bad could it be I'd go with her make her happy score some brownie points and in those 4 games I was hooked. Got season tickets for the next year and had them ever since waiting for this day. Playoff hockey in my building with my team I expect a good showing boys. LET GO PANTHERSVIDEO
