They do, I'm pretty sure... but I'm not sure you'll feel like drinking in there, too small/gets hot very fast. Although you're going there for Corneille, I went for Godsmack and Marylin Manson..
My suggestion for you is to drink before, then go, then find another place to drink after!
For your clubs, well everything should be open on a thursday night. I suggest going to Loft (St.Laurent/Ste. Catherine) if you like Rock, or just go on St.Denis and walk from Ste.Catherine towards north, you'll see lots of places there, just try 'em
Yes, they serve alcohol. I think you'll like that venue, I find that Metropolis is the best one in Montreal, especially for punk and ska shows. But Corneille ain't bad either

Thanks for the info, I doubt it'll be that type of show though, ...i'm leaving in 1 hour, can't wait to get to Montreal, I love that city!!!! don't know where i'll go out after the show, but i'm sure i'll find somewhere interesting to go to
you can smoke at any venue in Montreal. Actually, I went to trois riviere for the MetalFest and we were really surprised cause we were the only ones smoking contrary to here where its the other way around often.
It' montreal man you can smoke anywhere i mean if you can smoke a joint at the bell center you can smoke at the metropolis.
I remember a few years ago me and like 20 of my friends, we went like 5 cars deep, we went to the Snoop concert at the Bell center, man, we smoked that place out, and they had a game the following day...I remember sitting by my friend and asking him if we could get thrown out if we were caught, next thing I see, a security guard, who must of known the people sitting down, was crouching on the floor taking a few pulls from this big cannon...I love Montreal
I went there a couple of times already INCLUDING last saturday when I went to see the Godfather of Soul himself, the legendary James Brown, and yes, he still has some moves at 71 y.o.!!!
Anyways it's an alright joint(the metropolis), no smoking(although everybody smokes), and they serve alcohol...
I've also seen IAM(1996), Grim Skunk(1997) and a bunch of other shows at the metropolis, the sound isn't great, but it's alright!!
They serve good alcohol there, but you cant smoke. If you get caught they just ask you to stop. A guy lit up beside me where we were standing and a security guy came up to him and told him to butt out.
