Nashville is like a chan noob. They unfortunately exist and we just have to deal with the fact that everything about them and in their arena is annoying. It just makes the offseason more peaceful.

The preds are tied 1-1 in the first period off of a fluke goal and Detroit is on the powerplay. The fans are chanting hoooooward over and over. While the wings possess the Puck and Nashville is hemmed in their own zone. Pretty much says everything about the fans.

When you jeer and taunt the opposition way more than you cheer for your own team, I'd hesitate to call them 'fans of the game'.

Also, "rock and roll part ii" for a celebration song? Still? 1994 called... don't forget to add the classy "hey, you suck" and "we're gonna beat the @*$& outta you, you, you, you, you hey!" Groanworthy.

They got passionate fans, I see nothing wrong here.

Atleast I didn't noticed glass banging... That's probably the one thing I cannot stand the most.

I remember that. I chuckled a bit out loud at how dumb it was, when distracting him wouldn't even have had an affect on the game at the time.

haha sure the fans were annoying, but i wasnt exactly talking about the fans. I was pointing out the idiot in the control room or whatever that keeps yelling random facts on the loudspeaker in the arena during the game. Sometimes he would talk for a minute or two into the the play/powerplay time.

I remember thinking the exact same thing. I said to myself, "wouldn't this chant be more effective if the roles were reversed?"

I like their arena, I find the turnbuckle and the steel cage quite fascinating.

Thank God - I hate that too. Buffalo is one of the worst for that.

I agree the R and R part II is getting old.

In defense of the "howard, howard" chant, we do that after every goal. There's stuff before it, then we get to that. I'd say there's about a 2 or 3 minute lapse. In that time, apparently we took a penalty. Our crowd wasn't being spontaneous, that was a scripted thing. I can see how that would be awkward though

Come on, guys, don't drag the Wings board down.

Some of us find all the noise they blast at arenas annoying. However, leaving this thread open means some of you are going to start bashing another city and its fans and getting into stuff you shouldn't-- per site rules. We all share a love for hockey and everyone who wants to discuss the game is welcome here. We don't need this other stuff.
