I was unaware throwing a blocker and a glove into the face of a player was legal.
I was unaware that it takes the goalie doing something like that to make refs look at the players in front and see what they are doing to the goalies. I was just using that play, it happened last night during Kings and Nucks game in addition to Sens Ranger game tonight.

When Krecji bumps Holtby, he realizes that on his left side, he has Lucic, down the ice, he has Chara and down the line up, he has Thornton. So he doesn't fear retribution and the Caps players have to react, or they are gonna get pushed around all night.
So this results in a situation that favours Boston: They don't have to answer to anyone because of their players and since Caps have to answer back, they get offsetting minors, so it doesn't hurt them on the PK.
PS: Not judging, I hope Burke makes the Leafs team like this, just stating what happens.

Krejci got a penalty for roughing, i.e. for his part in the scrum. He didn't get anything for goaltender interference, and Carlson got a matching minor.
