Edm- Montreal

Not a fan of either team necessarily but talking possibilities with friends who are fans of both, how does this trade sound:

Paajarvi
1st overall (nail)

For
3rd overall
RFA rights of PK Subban.

So it's Nail and Paajarvi
or
Subban and Grigs
or
Subban and Gally

Habs reluctantly pass.

Pretty much this. Edmonton may even be giving up more, but Subban is a key fixture in Montreal and Paajarvi hasn't proven anything.

Absolutely not. Brutal for the Habs.

As I've stated in another thread, for Nail it's either Subban and a small + or the 3rd overall and a significant +.

As an Oiler fan, I think I'd take this. If Columbus steers clear of Grigorenko. Then the Oilers could potentially have an offseason of Grigorenko, Subban, Schultz. Hot damn.

I am not a Subban fan and want him nowhere near my oilers

Wouldn't be wise for the Oilers to trade Paajarvi when his value is so low. The deal isn't fair considering MPS sucked this season

PRV has low value but this deal is actually pretty good as MON would get a legit top winger. I don't care what people say about PK, he is not a top dman.

No thanks. Edmonton can keep their pick and PRV. I'm confident we can get a pretty good player at #3.

We'll keep Subban. Seems no one wants him anyways. Which is perfectly fine with me.

kinda like you are not a Kesler fan ... Subban would be loved by fans if he was on your team.

the word 'Gigantic' is fine but the laugh smily is just arrogant.

IMO Edm does this deal because it IS an overpayment by Habs.
It will require an overpayment to pry the #1 pick away.

More like gigantic no from the Oil. We'll keep both. PRV still can prove he deserves to be on the team. And Yakupov..... well he is a future star.

It dosen't really matter what you think. In real life, Habs would never consider that trade so it's useless to keep talking about it. The gap between Yakupov and Galy/Forsberg/Murray/Grigo is Subban???

Here's the deal: Oilers keep Yakupov, Habs keep Galy + Subban and everybody's happy.

Not sure why you'd turn this offer down, but to each their own.

Yakupov
or
Subban-Murray

Well, I'm not a huge Subban fan, but recognize his ability, and as an Oiler fan, I think this is probably too much. But, that's probably the type of deal that would be necessary for the Oilers to trade the pick. Not likely to happen because Subban is a central piece in Montreal`s future regardless of values of the individual pieces. It would be similar to the Oilers trading one of Hall, Eberle or RNH.

This is hf, every trade ever proposed requires an overpayment and every player and pick is more valuable to the team that already has them.

its not about that... its about teams making offers for the #1 pick.. EDM will not trade it unless it is an overpayment.

BOS supposedly declined Hemsky + Eberle for Seguin. I am sure they had other offers..

If it was "make offers for Subban".. it would take an overpayment for MTL to make a deal especially if it were 2 lesser peices.

I would not touch this at all. I'd be very pissed if anything of the sort every happened. Oilers fans may think it's close but no Habs GM would do this unless they hire milbury. Brutal.

As a Habs fan, I'd say yes. However, I'd ask for 1st overall+Petry for 3rd overall+Subban.

IMO, Subban is overrated and is not untouchable.

While I would like to get Yakupov its not worth moving up.

Subban + Grigs/Gally/Murray > Yakypov.
