I don't think you would see the likes of Helm or Abdelkader back in the AHL. I get the feeling they head over to Sweden,Switzerland or Germany.

Have to wonder how many clubs that line up to sign guys like them though. Considering most European leagues have quotas for import players.

That is true also, but I still don't think AHL is an option since they have already played so many NHL games. Only so many spots open to guys with so many games in the developmental AHL.

Backman scored LHC's lone goal in a 1-4 loss to HV in the European Trophy. Only watched the first period, his team was getting outplayed pretty badly. He was playing on the first pair with Havelid anyway, I saw he got some PP time aswell.

Jarnkrok scored a goal for Brynas, they lost 4-5 SO to Djurgarden in the same tournament. He was 2nd star of the game so I guess he played alright.

Maybe they can go over and play roller hockey with Dom.

Pre-season tournament which culminates in a final tournament in December.

Jokerit losing again, down 0-3 against HIFK with about 5 minutes ago. Naturally no points for Pulkkinen.

Jokerit suddenly found the net, game now only 3-2 for IFK. Pulkkinen got an assist on the second, scored Teuvo Teräväinen.

Backman's team is getting spanked again, this time at home. They're using their 17 yo J20 goalie though.

Pulkkinen had a good game, skating well, creating chances and shooting often. It's only a matter of time that he starts scoring and the fact that he can set up plays just as well compensates the lack of goals at the moment. The whole team is stuggling to score, but they were able to get the win despite trailing 3-0 with only 5 min left. They had a lot of PP but very bad finishing. Should put Pulkkinen on the point...
