We aren't trading Berglund. This trade makes us worse for next season. A LOT. Berglund is worth more then the 5th overall pick. Just don't see any point in trading him.
you evaluation of kulemin is based solely on statistics. it doesnt reflect kulemins 2 way game which in my opinion is vastly superior to that of stewarts. the difference in 6 goals is mitigated by this 2 way play.
i think gunnarson would be in play for stewart but im not sure about the 2nd. there is also a salary cap issue. im sure a prospect valued at around a 2nd round pick could be negotiated but i think st louis would need to take some salary back.
im thinking maybe gunnarson, ashton, and armstrong or lombardi (both have 1 year left)
I think everyone's two way game is superior to Stewart's. That's just not his strength.
Oh, I get it. But this a trade thread to Toronto, and the post that I quoted intimated that he was wasting his talent in Stl because he's not playing top line minutes. I'd be willing to guess that he sleeps fine at night with his current situation.
He sleeps like a baby i'm sure. Guys like that don't grow on trees hence their value, especially at a contract like he has.
Players like him don't get traded, they get pried away by a deal that is too good to pass up.
We have 0 interest in Schenn. He plays the right side and has been terrible this season. If he played the left side, I would imagine there would be some interest.

I appreciate the good-natured spirit here. This just creates a problem for the Blues with Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk already locking down a top-four RD spot. I suppose we'll have to make room for Schenn by moving one of them. You think anybody would want them?
