I was stuck away from my computer after seeing the victory, so I just wanted to say, everything is the best!

Although we looked worse than the Blues for a lot of the game, so I hope we can up the performance.

Oh man, what a game.

I also seriously need to see video again of that insane right-pad save Niemi made in the first OT. It made me jump straight out of my seat, knock over my beer and scream like a little girl.

Hell, all of Niemi's saves from the first OT are highlight reel worthy.

Yea, they were pretty bad to listen to. Where is my Drew and Randy?

The thing that makes me the happiest is knowing that I can watch Saturday knowing the worst outcome is to go to the tank on Monday evened up. The Playoff rally will not be depressing regardless of what happens Saturday

Me too. Love when Jumbo is ready to throw down, especially since he will probably kick the other dudes azz.

As for that pick from Couture, the Blues were doing the same thing the entire game. Reffing was pretty solid consistency wise.
Reffing was very consistent and tight I though. Jumbo was the only good one on the first line. Couture and Clowe didn't show much either. But Niemi was great, and the bottom two lines held their own. Niemi was the reason we won tonight. Need the other top guys to pick it up and we got this series in the bag.

They got shut out both times in St. Louis so they scored 3 more goals tonight than they did in St. Louis all season.

FTR: Pavelski took the draw and won with the second line (Clowe and Couture) on the ice, then skated off. Havlat took his place and the rest is history. Vlasic and Boyle were also on the ice from the faceoff to the goal. That is coaching my friends.

EDIT: Oh, and that commercial on CSNBA that interrupted the game? The only words uttered were "Wake Up, Wake Up"

I never even noticed what the commercial was about or said. I was busy raging. It was definitely an omen.

I was so confused... but maybe we can convince the CSNCA people to do it again?

We should save that magic for the Cup finals or something.

Seriously? Couture saw Sobotka, skated at him and then into him. Textbook interference.

I personally think the Blues came so hard in the last ten minutes of the first OT that they tired themselves out. The Sharks never panicked or were flustered and kept working. The fact that a defenseman led the Blues in SOG means to me that the Sharks kept everything on the outside. There is going to be mistakes, there is going to be ebbs and flows to the game. No team plays a perfect game or has control of the play for 60 minutes. The Sharks know they need to play and they know they can, this is a big win that puts doubt in the minds of the Blues..who played very well and threw everything at the Sharks and still came up short.
