Reason I ask is it seems like puck was jumping all over the ice last game. I was wondering if the weather was affecting the ice condition.
Relatively, no. It's getting warmer over the weekend. They had an event Tuesday night. I also think we have new ice post_NCAA. and the dehumidifier only comes in for playoff games.... in short, the ice was better than it can be (according to players) and should get a bit better as we progress.
I hope the Preds come out strong tonight. You know Detroit will, so the Preds are gonna have to be able to match that initial burst of intensity and adrenalin.

Intimidation is a huge part of a hockey game. Preds do not let all the crying and moaning cause you to take your foot off the gas pedal. 25 yards with the .22 for the smiley. 85 yards with the 7mm-08 for the logo. All with no wind and a solid rest. It's a straight-from-the-factory rifle, so at 100 yards with factory ammo the groups average 1 inch. But that just wouldn't look cool enough for this. And this is serious business!
