Generals clean House

The Oshawa Generals announced today April 12th that General Manager Chris DePiero, Head Coach Gary Agnew,and Assistant Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Joe Cirella will be moving on from the organization.The Scouting staff & Roger Hunt Asst. coach will stay,Ownership has said there hiring separate positions, GM then Coaching staff.let the rumours begin.

Wonder if any of the higher drafted kids may reconsider reporting to the Generals? After all, those that no doubt sold them on Oshawa all just got gassed. Who knows what the new regime will do.....

The Gens should look at Ken Strong for the head coaching job, he would be a good fit here.

Now that's something I would agree with entirely considering Ken Strong's Coaching Resume over all those years. He's got to easily be the most winningest Coach in Minor Hockey ever and had his own stint at the Pro/Minor Pro levels so experience from both ends is solid enough. Depends on what Gens are looking for though as that's what creates the criteria for the types of candidates you're looking for.

Greg Ireland had a job lined up also before going to the Attack, you never know these days, going to coach in the OHL is always a possibility.
