Not to defend the idiots banging the glass, but I'm pretty shocked the entire pane fell out like that. Gotta think they should be better secured than that. Anybody know anything about how that works?
The glass and the fixture need some flex, so it's obvious a crowd of imbeciles pounding on it will knock the glass pane out of that tiny metal frame or even break it.
I was wondering why boston fans was making a big deal out of this. That's only because i didn't see the video.Having seen the video.Wow.Wf were the boston fan's in the Td garden thinking. You could have easily concussed one of our star player.SMDH

That dude with the yellow foam finger is Steve Bartman 2.0 right now

I think you're not considering that the glass/frame have to be able to withstand multiple 200+ lbs. men crashing into them repeatedly over the course of a night and season. Don't want them falling on spectators, after all.
Wihtout figuring out the math, I imagine there is more stopping force involved in a body-to body-to glass check than a couple of drunks pushing on it
Seems to me something failed structurally that shouldn't have, or it was installed incorrectly.

ten grown men a flip a car over, push some glass out of the boards isn't that hard.
umm ya I know that. It happend at home. I said IF it happend on the road people would be talking about conspiracies.
Sorry that came out wrong. But I meant in general. No matter where this happens some people (and I'm not saying you) tend to think this is a conspiracy and it just gives writers more ammunition for stupid articles. Sorry about that.

The checks and swaying from them don't happen for a minute straight throughout the entire wall of glass. If the fans don't bang and rock it for a minute straight it doesn't fall at all--nevermind on someone. It might pop out--but that's it.
The fans did this.
There's also warning when something happens during the game. The goal line cameraman seemingly knew a pane was popping out at the top as he seemed to focus on it for few seconds before it collapsed.
If he misses any time, do those fans become the hockey version of Steve Bartman?
I`d suggest the staff in charge of safety, both players and fans should be. Bangin on the glass, leaning on it, whatever you want to call it goes on everywhere and has for years, can`t recall ever having seen this happen because of it. How many here think sitting where they were, they wouldn`t have been doing pretty much the same thing???
This would/could be a massive problem moving on if DK isn`t good to go, let`s hope he is
