It's not who's over paid, it's who won't score WHILE being overpaid.
Cammalleri will score in the first 2 or 3 games of the season at worst, and keep scoring all season (30+). Hemsky and Horcoff have better odds of not scoring for a while though.
In terms of scoring goals (not being an overpaid bust), I'd say Henrik Sedin is a possibility.
The best candidates for this are players that don't shoot enough. Henrik only took 113 shots this season, including 43 shots in the 33 post all-star games. With some bad luck, it's possible for a 12% career shooter like Henrik to not score over 30-40 shots. Crosby went 30+ shots without scoring earlier this season.
Or is this just taking a shot at the Leafs as its the easy thing to do?
He produced at a .69 ppg pace this season in a secondary role, is by far the hardest working leaf and plays with his heart on his sleeve in all area's of the ice.
He may be overpaid by a mil, but is nowhere close to being the next Gomez.
Yeah, I'd agree with Leino - he's barely averaging a shot per game. Scored 19 goals the previous season with a very high shooting percentage. If he takes only 70-80 shots next season, he might score as few as 5-6 goals with some bad luck.
