Looks like he is in N. America again. I thought he played OK the time he spent with the Bruins. Bummer he is out of a job because of something like this, though. He broke Fetisov's scoring record, which is pretty impressive and he seemed to be well liked over there.

that doesn't say much for the khl. as much as dallman is probably a nice guy and a good teammate, he wasn't useful on a pretty terrible bruins team. best of luck running from borat sagdiyev though.

Through the first half of the 2005-06 season, Dallman was arguably Boston's best two-way D. Leetch needed a lot of time to shake out the rust and revise his containment techniques (then he ran into Shawn Bates on the Island and that was that), Boynton was a disaster after no substantial lockout season and a camp holdout, and Gill was Gill. Dallman was a bright spot in a bad situation. He's probably a more mature version of his best in Boston, which wasn't bad.
Dallman was an absolute beast in Providence. I can say, without hesitation, that he was the best offensive / PMD I ever saw come through the Bruin's system there. Great in his own end, great passer, and not afraid to shoot the puck. Physical as hell for a guy his size, too.
He just never managed to translate his AHL game to the NHL level.
That said, maybe his time in the KHL helped to bridge that gap ... If he comes back to play in North America, I wish him all the best. He was always a guy who I enjoyed watching in Providence and I hoped would succeed.
I read that article earlier in the week. It just confirmed to me that the KHL won't soon truly threaten the NHL. A lot of players choose comfort and lifestyle over wage at the end of the day. And those with a spouse will more than likely heed their input.
Remember Dallman bench pressing the most on the team. Seemed to have all the tools, strength and O game. Just couldn't put it together in the NHL for some reason.
