I am impressed by the Flyers with their rookies and experienced players completing each other. They never back down and have a bright future. I know they're our rivals, but my disliking them is being overshadowed by my hatred towards Pittsburgh these last few years.

The Pens embarassed themselves and the game of hockey today. What a disgusting BS organization. Of course, the league wont do anything about it.

As a Flyers fan I feel the same way about the Rangers. How they developed their talent and added pieces that fit the system and not just because of the big name. As well as the hard work the players put in on a nightly basis. I mean I hate the Rangers but I respect them at the same time. Unlike the Penguins whom I hate and have no respect for.

As I said, if both the Flyers and Penguins were in a different division. The Flyers would be one of my favorite teams and the Penguins would still be one of my most hated. The only player on the Flyers I dislike is Girioux and that's only because he was drafted right after Sanguinetti.

Outside of the two series that the Rangers won since the lockout, this has been my most satisfying series ever. If the Flyers sweep and spank the Penguins in game 4, that would honestly take the sting of us losing (if we lose).

In before the Penguins sign Weber or Suter in the offseason.

We have been very good on improving lately. We got rid of Drury, Avery, Rozsival and other cap-killing players and we started to implement youngsters. Hagelin is a 6th round draft pick, McDonagh was acquired in the Scott Gomez-trade, Stralman left Columbus and couldn't get a contract anywhere. It's impressive to see how this team was put together. Richards and Gaborik as free agents, Stepan, Lundqvist, Del Zotto, Dubinsky, Anisimov, Staal were our own draft picks, Girardi was signed undrafted.

It's such a big difference compared to the galactico-era when we were signing big names without thinking about the team chemistry.

They have no cap room to make a signing like that without trading one of Martin or Michalek. And even then it will be tight.

I chuckled when he stuck his leg out and tried to trip a Flyer (didn't work). It was the auto-reflex reaction of a lifetime dbag.

I was being half-sarcastic, because it would be about their 6th $5 million+ salary on the books. But they could clearly use a d-man of that caliber. $5 million to Paul Martin looks a bit shaky right now.

Sykora just broke his stick and then whacked one of the panthers with the broken stick.

The consistently awful officiating continues.

Actually if you are on the Pens it qualifies you for the conn smythe trophy.

Seriously though, the rule is this:

46.22 Fines and Suspensions – Instigator in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time (or Anytime in Overtime) - A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at anytime in overtime (see 46.12) hall be suspended for one game, pending a review of the incident.

and that typo isn't mine, comes right off the nhl website.
