Recent studies show medium decline on youth hockey due to concussions.

Very interesting read here. Parents are questioning whether concussions is a form of child abuse and due to recent studies a decline in youth hockey due to parental worries.

probably just as many in football...odd that parents would worry about hockey but say meh to football.

Child abuse?

But for those familiar with Australian Football, there has been a massive decline in youth participation as well, due to knee injuries, leg injuries and concussions. It's a natural thing that the more physical sports that get a lot of negative media attention through injuries will make parents hesitate to let their children play it.
