If the Pens win Game 3, all the pressure is on Philly to win Game 4. If the Pens somehow take two in Philly (playing a tight road hockey sort of game wouldn't be the worst thing in the world) then the Pens are favored again. The playoffs are a funny thing. I don't think Flyers fans need to be reminded about 2000, when it comes to the road team in this rivalry winning the first two.

The Flyers are pretty good right now too.
You're right. Malkin absolutely carries this team when Crosby's out. Once Sid gets back Malkin shys away almost to defer to him, which sucks. In my opinion, he could be by far, the best player in the league.

Remember 2009...Twice, the Pens did this. (And I know, it's a different team, different circumstances, blah, blah, blah), but if you're a Pens fan who just wants to cry and lament about the series being over, then I want nothing to do with you.

You have to have lived in Philadelphia. Too often has the city snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. The fans justifiably wait until the final horn.

LOL I appreciate you not wanting to jinx things, but it's over.

This defense that's supposedly great on paper is something I've been pissing on since November 2010, and it's not suddenly going to get any better.

At this point, if we're going to lose, I want it to be a sweep so some big changes are made, because Shero is way too enamored with his lineup.

Show me where I said the pressure wasn't on the Pens to win Game 3?

I won't be celebrating until the series is over, that's for sure. If the Pens win game 3 it's a whole new series.

You want to get swept by the Flyers? Honestly? I'd take death by firing squad before witnessing a 4 game sweep at the hands of these clowns.

These teams are way to tight to call it a for-sure end to the Pens. That said, they're obviously at a major disadvantage down 2-0.

I said IF they lose, I'd rather it be a sweep.

It'll hurt like hell, but it's the only way we're going to get rid of these soft ass d-men and maybe actually go out and sign a real winger instead of these stopgap guys that are currently being employed.

Nobody is crying or lamenting. Those of us who find it highly unlikely that the Pens come back have seen this team play all season. The same problems the team is having in this series are the same ones that we've seen all season - bad defense and curious decisions with the puck. No killer instinct. I don't see these things changing all of a sudden.

I certainly hope they do and will watch and root like hell for this team. This is a bad matchup for the Pens. Bad defense against great offense is a disastrous scenario.

I still think Pittsburgh wins the series. Philly will be over-confident now and Pitt will be desperate. Pittsburgh made a habit of being down in series to the Capitals and always managed to come back in the 90s with super talented teams. It will be no different this time.

What is wrong with you people! It's nice to be charitable and gracious and all, but have you not been paying attention to these games? Have you not been watching the Pens defense? THEY ARE TERRIBLE. These are not bad games by them, they are simply horrible. There are no adjustments that can be made, they simply can not play the game. It. Is. Over. And I hope they go down in flames.

Can't see Philly underestimating the Pens/getting over-confident. They have came back from big deficits twice in two games. They both know what the Pens are capable of and what their team is capable of.

Lol, yeah, the problem for the Pens so far has been a lack of a real scoring winger.

I'm sorry, but this sort of thing just infuriates me. Why the **** would you want your favorite team to "go down in flames" to your main rival? I just don't get it.

I've made this argument a thousand times, and either my english is terrible, or people are being obtuse.

We have hard working wingers, but not ONE is dynamic. Not one can create offense on his own.

Voracek had fewer goals and points than Dupuis, but tell me if Dupuis can control and dictate a PP the way Jake did. I desperately wanted that guy last year and here he is now in the same division.

Penguins certainly aren't done, too talented to write off, but as long as the Flyers don't suffer any major injuries they're in very good shape.

They've now played 7 meaningful games this year and the Flyers have won 6.

It's not a fluke.

Highest scoring team in hockey, 9 goals in the first two games. If you think the problem is anything but team defense, you're delusional.
