I'm not sure when Cotourier became a better 2 way center than Staal........but he **** on Malkin 2 straight games and Staal got absolutely crushed in 2 straight games.
One of Jeffrey or Tangradi should play in place of the 4th liners. Adams is useless if he's not killing penalties and the pk is awful this series. Asham is useless in a fast-paced game and Vitale was benched the whole third. Might as well give DJ a go or something.

Vitale could be banged up. He missed some time early in the game because of a hit he took in the first.
And as for Jeffrey/Tangradi in over Adams and Asham; Why? They're not the problem. Our defense is.
Now, if you said Despres in for Lovejoy, I'd agree.
I think the Pens are the only team in the playoffs that still can come back from being down 0-2 with both being at home. Too much talent.
Not against the this Flyer team. I just can't see it with all things considered. Taking 4 of 5 from these Flyers with what we have(and what we've seen), just ain't gonna happen.

important to note that Cooter was a +4 while Talbot was a +5 tonight ... Malkin and Neal were both -4 ... and now the Flyers have the last change which means more Cooter time for Malkin
I'd keep Asham, but the rest can all go. Especially Dan "i'm too good to call a timeout" Bylsma.
Asham was brought in specifically to add sandpaper in series like this and some clutch plays; he isn't doing ****. No one is going to fight the guy at this point so he's bordering on useless.

- Dan Byslma. This is it. I've had it with you. You are not a playoff coach. Anyone, and I mean anyone can coach this team to 45 wins in the regular season, and into the playoffs. Your 'game' doesn't translate into the post season. You make zero adjustments. You have no defensive scheme whatsoever. You FINALLY make a change to the PP. Great, you scored 2, and gave up 2 shorties. The last 3 seasons have abruptly ended due to your insane arrogance and ignorance. Way to call that timeout with 30 seconds left and down by 2. Go back to the AHL you ****ing moron.
- Defense. Everyone not named Derek Engelland should throw themselves off the 7th St Bridge tonight. I've been watching hockey faithfully for 25 years, and I've NEVER seen a worse defensive corps in my life. Can't clear a puck. Can't clear the net. Can't score. Can't move anyone off a puck. Can't pass. Can't tie anyone up. Honestly, if I were Shero, I'd keep Letang and Engo, and tell the rest to get bent.
- Malkin. Geno, you disappear more than David Blaine.
- Fleury. 6 goals? Yeah, the D sucks, but you gotta make a few saves. Oh well, what's one more series of getting outplayed by an inferior opposing goalie?
- Pretty much the rest of the team. I'm not listing them. They're all here.
+ Sid, Dupuis, Kunitz. Should put them on a line and play them the entire game. The only 3 that seem like they care.
Philly is the worst matchup for Pittsburgh, it almost seems like they're built to exploit our weaknesses. It comes down on Bylsma and Shero though. Shero for not making the defense tough enough, and Bylsma for ignoring the defensive ineptness that has been going on for the past month.
Are weakness is tissue soft defense when rattled implodes within itself.
DB needs to go. We need a coach who respects his opponent. I don't care if Couturier is a rookie, we have home ice so we should dictate the matchups. DB constantly disrespects his opponents ability. Happened before when he said Neuvirth sucks.....pens lost that game too.

GMAFB... as bad as NBC commentators are they were right about Crosby having an all-over-the-place game. He has work to do also, especially defensively. He's obviously been out and the defensive awareness might be suffering a bit but we have to play D to a man or this is over.
Well, he has been the best player on the Pens and even on both teams these two days. Not even arguable imo. Its just not possible for him to create 4 goals by himself every night. Tonight he created two, and it wasnt enough. Clearly not enough..

If not for Hitch's record, i can see Bylsma winning that Jack Adams for what the Pens have gone through this season. But your back is against the wall, the whole team will either continue to implode, or they will start showing why we are considered the best team in the NHL.
