I love the fact he used the old, "pass it off the wall to myself" manouver to score the goal.
That doesnt work in the NHL.
That hasnt worked since you played that DIII NCAA team with the crappy defense. It's the NHL equivalent of the NFL reverse, which also almost never goes for a touchdown.
i really like what he's done for us this year. it also speaks volumes about how much depth we've added that when we first got him he was the best player besides clarkson in our bottom six and now when yayo is healthy he's probably the worst. that's no knock on him though, he's been great. i was so pumped for him when he scored against his hold team in a situation like that.
Most underrated pickup all season. More so than Poni even, in my eyes. Guy was a waiver pickup that stabilized our 4th line considerably. On top of that, he has been excellent on the PK for us as well.
He's been great since he was picked up by the Devils. I'd like to see him back next year. He's a good interview too, as seen in the "battle of the beards" interview video.
This sort of quality forward depth will be huge for us in the playoffs, especially when our top guys get shut down like they did tonight. Carter is a big part of that.

Oh, you mean like whenever you're playing a road game and the opposing coach isnt a complete moron and knows he has last change, and matches his top-2 defenseman against Parise/Kovalchuk all night long like tonight, and is thus able to shut down BOTH your superstars with predictable regularity?*
*Sorry, but you gave me an opening to harp on my pet issue of the entire season
With him beating up Dubinsky, scoring that big goal later that game on Lundqvist, not backing down from more experienced fighter in Stu Bickel, and then what he did tonight, I love him.
