ECQF | Game 2 | 4/14/12 | Senators @ Rangers | 7:00 PM | MSG, NBCSN, CBC
THE MATCHUP
2012 EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS
GAME #2 - 4/14/2012
@
(0) ____________ (1)
7:00 PM ET
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NYC, NY
MSG | NBC SPORTS | CBC, RDS
QUOTES TO NOTE
You know they’re going to be better. You just have to keep raising your level of play. They’re going to try to bounce back and play harder.
- Marc Staal
It was tough last year. Not being able to be with the team during the playoffs after battling with them. It’s good to get that first win under my belt.
It’s been 3 years since I played a playoff game, so it’s nice to get that one out of the way.
- Ryan Callahan
I thought Hank was really good when they surged on us and they didn't get anything.
We found ourselves and had the puck a bit more and ended up getting something. I thought that was a key part of the game.
- John Tortorella

LGR! The Garden should be electric tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow is the last home game we see in round 1. Gotta come out strong, hit everything, and not take dumb penalties.

Let's Gooooo Rangers! I have to go to sleep at this point but all I can think about is hockey. It's not exactly helping. Tomorrow night can't come soon enough.

Go get it, boys!
Sidenote: how is it possible for Anderson to have a 4.08 GAA while his team has a 4.00 GAA after 1 game?

Okay enough of that Flyer Pen nonsense. Time for some real hockey where the teams use things like defensemen and goaltenders.
Bring the A game. LGR!

Brother and I have a wedding. The soon to be couple is well aware if their wedding was in round 2, 3, or 4 we would not be going.
Self imposed media blackout from 7PM until we get back to my brother's. DVR will be waiting..
Go get #2 boys!

Gotta take care of this. If they lose this game, they are wiping out the home-ice advantage worked so hard for. They will be tied with 5 games to go and Ottawan having more games at home. Would have a lot of pressure in Ottawa and unless they won both games there, it would become a long and tough series at this point.
Win this game and all you need to do is pull off one of two away games.
