Man oh man. There was never a time I didn't think Hardy would win. Why are they over-selling him in every single way? I felt like the announcers made Roode a secondary part of this match. It was Hardy vs. his own resilience. Announcing a good match is to make me believe both competitors have a chance.
I guess I will have to get used to walking into a wrestling thread, reading a post by ColePens, and ultimately agreeing entirely with him. Well said, CP.

I did not like that match.
This whole PPV just seemed like filler the entire time. The wrestling was good (the Women's match and Styles/Daniels in particular) but it didn't do much else than that.
PPV full of good matches and while all of the experts on the internet thought it was going to be so predictable and Bischoff and Brisco were going to turn on Angle and blah blah blah, they were all wrong.
Nothing amazing, but nothing to complain about unless you want to start getting really picky (people bringing up Brooke and Hulk? they were on the PPV for a couple of minutes and considering the build to that match, it would be stupid if they weren't). Not much more to be expected from a PPV that isn't a major show, they've delivered some awesome PPVs in recent months.
Also good on them for putting Daniels over AJ even though as an AJ fan I wasn't happy. Daniels work has been fantastic for months, he's put AJ over many times, he deserved to get one and if you really want to sell this whole AJ is down angle that they are trying to do then this is going to help that rather than just oh wait it was just a little cold snap and he's gone over Daniels as usual let's move on.
Don't know how much you read the thread, but he craps on Hardy at every opportunity he can. Saying Hardy is ruining the company and going to lead to them going out of business and makes the product bad 99% of the time he is on screen isn't overly negative lol? wow you must be a really happy camper.
Before Hardy got the belt, they had THREE first time world champions, THREE. Including Roode having the longest run in company history. Eventually the cycle has to come around where the Hardy fans are given what they want. Seriously they put the belt on Storm, Roode and Aries, yet still people like yourself come out complaining when they give the most popular guy in the company some time with the title.
Fact is, your most popular guy, your biggest money maker, he is going to get time with the title. That is how the wrestling business works. They aren't just catering to you, they have to cater to other people also, they had three new world champions, then they had to cater to the Jeff fans and put the belt on a guy who other wrestling fans, who they are trying to draw in, actually recognize. The Jeff fans are more important than you, the Jeff fans are more important than me, the Jeff fans are more important than anyone who posts here because they buy up his crap, so eventually the company has to give those fans what they want, it's common sense. I am not a Hardy fan, but I look past the fact that I don't really like him and realize that he is the champion because he is the most popular, he is the biggest money maker, he is their biggest asset. There is no arguments against that, popular money makers get title runs, wrestling 101.
and WWE didn't just let Jeff walk lol, in fact ironically you try to use this as some sort of argument against him, then try to use the fact that their are rumours he might leave to go back to WWE against him lol.
Fair enough on your first point as I dont really pay attention all the time as to who posts what, but from what I recently read I didnt think it all to be that bad. I agree with your point as well as his when it comes to Hardy...
To your point about your biggest draw always holding the belt and thats how wrestling works, well I think you need to think a bit more about that one as it isnt entirely true. I have been watching wrestling since I can remember, mainly NWA and World Class Wrestling, along with AWA and the WWF...its not my first rodeo... but it isnt ALWAYS the case (though it is likely) that your biggest draw holds the belt, and history has proven that ...
I get that Hardy likely has the most TNA fans, but my point was how does that draw newer fans in who either dont care about him or have seen him before in the WWE...and dont really like him???
Also you say that TNA has given the belt to 3 other people since the last time Hardy held the title...and then you say that I am complaining about Hardy being the champ.. First point is that you do remember why Hardy had the belt stripped from him..right? Using how many other champs there has been as a reason why it should go back to Hardy is crazy considering the circumstances he lost it. TNA did the right thing and they had to wait and make sure this guy wasnt going to kill himself, someone else, or wind up in jail before putting him back in the position they are... Its not like TNA was just rotating the belt to keep things fresh, if Hardy didnt screw up, who knows how long he would have held the belt and you know it..
but then you say people like me are complaining that Hardy is the champ... I am a bit confused in that respect as I have freedom of speech and expression, and just because I like other wrestlers better as the TNA champ, does not mean that I hate Jeff Hardy or I am complaining about him being the champ... Actually I cant recall me ever saying a bad thing about Hardy as champ, I only stated that I would like to see a few others as champ over him for the betterment of the company...thats not really a complaint more so a personal preference..
and to your final point about the WWE not letting Hardy walk... come on, lets be serious here for a moment. my comment was directed at the group I listed of guys like Angle, Anderson, Rakishi, Matt Hardy, Mick Foley, RVD, etc who the WWE had no problems walk away, fire, whatever... they felt that they dont need these guys to succeed. and however you look at Hardy, the same applies as the WWE felt the same with him as they got what they wanted out of him and he can do whatever he wants for TNA like the others...no single wrestler is a huge loss for them and thats how they have felt since Bret Hart jumped to WCW. as for putting the strap on him to prevent him to leave to the WWE which is being rumored and something I didnt create, well you must be a bit new to wrestling as bridges are never fully burned and the WWE will take you back pretty much regardless of what your past relationship was with them. you are a bit naive to think that the WWE wouldnt love to take the "most popular" TNA wrestler and then likely bring him in to great fanfare, only to burry him as a midcarder like we have seen many times before with ex TNA or WCW guys...
the WWE simply doesnt care how it looks to bring back their ex wrestlers, they never have..
bottom line for me is I like Jeff Hardy and as I said prior I am glad he is here... but for the overall growth of TNA and for its future, I just am not sure that Hardy is best suited as the champ...personal issues are a slight factor that cant be ignored either.

Trying to skim the thread without seeing any spoilers.
Am I getting a general consensus that it was a good PPV?
I read a lot of reviews that said it was a house show/filler and not a good PPV. Obviously people can differ on opinions.
I caught it in the middle of the AA/Ray match so here is my take.
-I thought the PPV was okay. Nothing crazy. The overbooking w/ Hogan and Brooke is a bit much. I really never want to see them on tv ever again. That's just my personal opinion.
-The tag match w/ Angle and Aces/8s was just a huge mess. I couldn't tell who the legal man was or what was happening. Angle looked like the superhuman and I didn't really get anything from it.
-Daniels/AJ put on a great match and the crowd was not into it at all. They did the ole one up type match and I thought they delivered beautifully.
- The main event was 30 minutes of putting Hardy over in every way possible. As I wrote above, Roode was secondary in this match. It was just to make Hardy look ridiculous. I don't quite get it, but I heard they wanted to re-sign him and his contract was coming up soon. That's pointless booking looking at Hardy's career. He does what he wants and goes where he pleases. WWE made him look huge in 09 and he split. So if they waste this time trying to make him "the man" just be careful.
-Overall Thoughts: I'm a fan of wrestling but this isn't something that makes me want to tune into TNA. I catch it every now and there or try to pick up a PPV if the card looks solid, as it did last night. This didn't pull me in. But for regulars - it's probably a good transitional PPV.
*Remember.. just my opinion. I'm not a regular TNA watcher.
