Sean Couturier
Talk about swagger...
Guy puts up 3 goals and 4 points, but most importantly shuts down Malkin.
He is Malkin's shadow!
The 19 year old deserves some props!

I was impressed by him during the regular season already.
I think it says a lot that in my opinion he was closer to being a Selke candidate than Landeskog or Nugent-Hopkins were being Hart candidates.

In a post game interview, Jagr was comparing Couturier to a young Ron Francis.

With how he has been shutting down Malkin and at the age he is, simply incredible.

We have Jagr, Lemieux AND Francis now. Pens must be pissed.

He's been incredible from day 1 of the preseason. He gave the Flyers no choice but to keep him on the roster from the beginning and he hasn't disappointed. He plays with the presence of a 10 year veteran, and Laviolette has trusted him, playing him in any situation possible. An he's only going to get better. Thank you Scott Howson.

Without any milk.

When he fills out he's going to be scary defensively. It's that he could physically handle Malkin along the boards as slender as he is.

Sickens me that so many passed on this guy and he fell into the Flyer's laps. The rich get richer...fantastic player.

Had a great game...both offensively (obviously) and defensively. His play against Malkin's line has been stellar.
What a find by the Philly brass.

He wasn't alone making this comparison.
Pierre Maguire and Joey Mullen made the same comparison before the game

A FIND? Pretty sure everybody and their mothers knew who he was
He was the leftovers, not a find.

That's what you ASSUME, but IMO that's why he dropped because people feel he will still stay the same due to his already NHL level maturity and frame. He doesn't have much room for improvement I'd say

I predict a -4 next game and zero points for the rest of the series.
Seriously though, it is nice seeing him having such an impact in the NHL already after seeing him tumble down during the draft.

I just don't get this tumble down notion. Most had him ranked at 5. He fell 3 spots...

How so many scouts completely misread him still baffles me.

Maturity doesn't exclude room for offensive growth. He'll definitely improve offensively. And he can add 15-20 more lbs. to his frame easy, he looks like a giraffe.

Which was way too much. He should have gone top 5 without question.
