Pitt needs to step up the defense

Van needs to step up the offense.

Edge: Pitt

Pittsburgh. They are at least scoring in abundance but just cannot seem to play defense. Vancouver is getting slaughtered half the game and usually because our powerplay is so bad, we just went to decline them now.

Pens IMO. They've fallen apart at the end of games, but dominated the start of games, if they can win game 3 they're right back in it. So talented that you really cannot count them out. SERIOUSLY need to fix their transition defense though, can't be allowing breakaways every 2 minutes and expect to win.

The Nucks haven't been playing great period, and they don't look the same without Daniel, they just don't look that dangerous. No Daniel makes the Sedin line less effective, Kesler hasn't been great, they just don't look that dangerous offensively, and they're getting too caught up in trying to be gritty/physical instead of focusing on how skilled they are. Edler is playing like trash too. If they had Daniel and Hodgson things might be different, but LA are dominating them, I don't see them winning the series, they don't seem to have the firepower at the moment.

The real problem Canucks have is that the point shots aren't getting through so we are resorting to the simple "just crash the net" plays. While Ehrhoff wasn't very good at getting pucks on net at least they didn't get blocked much, which keeps the pressure on instead of back the other way.

The two goals we did get tonight: deflections and rebounds off point shots. That's what we need to keep doing in order to get LA to stop turtleling in front of the net. This will open up more chances for better shots in the slot and such.
What the hell is defensive turtling and why is it a bad thing?

I see nothing wrong with the game LA chooses to play whatsoever.
