GAME #2 - 4/14/2012

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NYC, NY
MSG | NBC SPORTS | CBC, RDS
QUOTES TO NOTE
You know they’re going to be better. You just have to keep raising your level of play. They’re going to try to bounce back and play harder.
- Marc Staal
It was tough last year. Not being able to be with the team during the playoffs after battling with them. It’s good to get that first win under my belt.
It’s been 3 years since I played a playoff game, so it’s nice to get that one out of the way.
- Ryan Callahan
I thought Hank was really good when they surged on us and they didn't get anything.
We found ourselves and had the puck a bit more and ended up getting something. I thought that was a key part of the game.
- John Tortorella

If we somehow split this, it would be huge. We need to cut down on our sloppy mistakes though. Hopefully the nerves are gone.

Sens cut back on defensive gafffs and give some hard hits, and more traffic, they could win. Easier said than done though.
I'm hoping for a split of course, but I am nervous! I can actually watch/listen to most of this game, so I don't want to leave too disappointed.
Sens did well last game, just made too many defensive mistakes. Cut back on those, and its a close close game, even a possible win for the Sens.

Senators 4-2, cracks begin to appear in Lundqvist's armor and the deflating loss sends a spirited Rangers crew to Ottawa with doubts in its head. Slowly but surely the Senators' experience helps them assert control over the series...just like a high school play, the next sequence of events is deliciously predictable.

NY is obvious the better team but for anybody to think Ottawa won't push NY is foolish.

Alfie will join Spezza and Michalek in the top line. Condra up to the 2nd. Greening to the 3rd. I'd rather see greening beside turris snd foligno but a greening smith Neil line doesn't sound too bad.

PP1:
Michalek-Spezza-Alfie
Karlsson-Gonchar
PP2:
Foligno-Turris-Neil/Smith
Kuba-Cowen
