St. Louis will adjust. But the pressure is on them to win in their own building. Thornton needs to have a game and start figuring out the Backes line. Sharks need to get physical and the defense needs to step it up because we can't pray Niemi has a first star game every game.

i can't wait for this game. it's tearing apart my soul... the blues are gonna bring it, and the sharks are gonna have to match them to win it, which i think they can. i expect more all-star performance from niemi in the net, who i'm hoping will shut up his naysayers by the end of this round.

Exactly. It is beyond our goal we have to adjust and really pick it up. I truly don't think St. Louis can play much better, other than in their goal. This is what Todd has got to drill in their head. We pick it up and "if" Niemi stays solid, I am certain we will be fine. But we really have to step up our game for sure, in all angles.

I'm unsure if I'll be watching the game down here or up in the city, since I'm going up there at some point today (Giants game tomorrow with my brother). Either way, a win would be huge because the Tank is gonna be insane for Games 3 and 4 and I think there's a good chance the boys take both games there.
Just win. The Kings and Flyers were able to steal Game 2 on the road and go 2-0 before going home. I hope the Sharks can capitalize as well. Can't wait for tonight.

Amazing how SJ wins game 1, yet all you hear and read about is the blues. If its an NBC broadcast that we get here on TSN in Canada again, I really hope they talk about San Jose too a little bit. Win tonight, and the Sharks are in a solid, solid position for a team that was eons better at home than on the road. Need to be MUCH more agressive today I think, because the blues will be and the pace will be quicker I'd imagine.
