The worst part is that he sucked down the stretch for the Sabres anyway. Sure he maybe could be of help, but you just bet that people will instantly equal it to shipping away a Sakic.
Strange, I was at the game and saw a Canucks team dominate the play apart from a few REALLY bad defensive plays.
I'm not going to sit here and pretend they played a perfectly sound game but they were the better offensive team in game 2, no doubt in my mind.
Edler on the other hand... boy what a melt down he's having right now. I'll still love him, but I'm not sure he'll have a head if he continues his play.
Canucks generated very few scoring chances. I saw a lot of perimeter shots that Quick swallowed up fairly easily. The ice may have played a part in that as I saw the puck bouncing over a lot of the player's sticks, but both teams had to deal with that.
It's unfortunate that you ever thought he was soft. He never has been. The Sedins take more abuse than most players in the NHL, they just don't dish it out. Henrik hasn't missed a game in over 7 seasons.
I admit fault and change my opinion based on what I saw from sedin and still find something to complain about.
Even as a Hawks fan I feel bad for this guy. He played great in games 1 & 2 and what does he get for it? He gets a swift kick in the crotch.
100% serious, I hope he gets traded to a team that appreciated him enough to not do what AV did to him tonight.
Guess people are starting realizing that Luongo/Schneider are the ones who have been carrying the team for who knows how long. The roster is pretty good, but the coach can't get anything going when things start going awry. Just sits back and chews on his ****ing gum, hoping things work themselves out. Well, they are - Kings are edging out the Canucks every time.
H sedin has my respect after that. Took the hit then came back and finished the game AND can stand up and say it was clean. Good on him and I certainly don't think he's soft anymore.
Who cares that he said that a clean hit was clean. What else is he supposed to say? It was a great hit.
Which one of them was it that said that Chicago didn't belong out on the ice with them after game 7 in round one last year? Pretty hard to respect players who make comments as arrogant as that. There are enough clips of the Sedins diving to fill a page here.
Says something about how much AV even trusts him then
I don't trust him either. For good reason, he hadn't played in 10 minutes and got a shift in the third and gave the Kings their best chance of the game apart from their goal.
The Kings deserve a bunch of credit. They are built for playoff hockey and play a great system. Well done and I'll have no problem watching them in the second round. They've exposed some flaws in the Canucks which will hopefully lead to positive change.

Begs the question, how good are the pro scouts of Vancouver if they gave up Hodgson (disregarding him wanting out) for him

I don't recall that comment but it was 100% true. That game was slanted.
The diving is embarrassing to the NHL and Canucks fans. I'm truly sorry that you have to bear the full brunt of the shenanigans and antics. There's just no place in the game for that

I've followed Hodgson since his early juniors days. I own both a Canucks and Sabres Hodgson jersey. Trust me when I tell you his presence would be meaningless at this point in the series.
He isn't what we currently need. Neither is Kassian for that matter.
If D. Sedin was playing right now, the grit and toughness of Kassian would make the Canucks a very dangerous team. Hodgson lost out on a game of numbers.
Canucks dealt from a position of strength to address a team need. Injuries happen. I don't think it was a bad trade, keeping the circumstances at the time in perspective. It just looks worse now because of what we know.
LoL so now hawks fans are feeling sorry for lou, just to make canucks look worse.
Schneider played great tonight, better then lou game 2, who did not play great, but played decent.
I like how when canucks are down, fanbases that trash lou as a goalie suddenly claim were treating him poorly.
Luongo was not at all the reason Vancouver lost in games 1&2. He played outstanding, this is coming from I guy who hates Luongo btw.
He earned a game 3 start. He's the Nucks goalie for the next 10 years. What does this do to his feelings about the Canucks organization if this is how he's treated?

no, the roster is not pretty good. there is something seriously wrong with the forwards.
not a single legit offensive chance generated on this day outside of 2-3 of them

Both are still great players.
Fair enough, Vancouver needs their offensive weapons to step up. Kesler should be filling Daniel Sedin's void, but he's done nothing but embarrass his team. The onus should be on him and Booth imo
