Horrible call there on the McDonald hit. Looking straight down at the puck. Only reason that is call is because he is small with a history of concussions. No way is that a penalty if its a hit on Thornton. Officiating hasn't been bad this game, but that call was.
So...how many games have you watched of them, 3...maybe 4?
Yes exactly. I meant to say from the Blues-Sharks matchups. They have looked soft. I have caught a few other games but from the small sample size that is my opinion.
lol so everyone plays like the New Orleans Saints now?
Did I say bounty, I said scouting report. This happened when I played college lacrosse. Players are made aware of other players injuries. That doesn't mean there is a bounty system.
It's called a scouting report. From college and some serious high schools on up, know the injury history of the opponents. If you know someone is weak in an area, you are going to hit them there.
Nobody sits and memorizes the injury history of every opposing player. obviously some guys know what injuries some other guys have had, but its a bit of a tedious assumption to make

If you really think that they Sharks are spending there days off studying the opponents injury history and then planning on hitting them there a feel sorry for you.

When a guy like McDonald has only played in about 50% of his teams games over the past 2 years due to concussions, the other team knows it.

Trust me, when we had a big game or in the playoffs, everyone knew the injury history of the big players. A teammate and me had a torn ACL and multiple times you will have subtle shots in that area. When the game is on the line, players will go after a weak area on the opponent.
