I too feel like this season has been a big cluster**** since the start. Everyone thought they'd pick up their play, everyone thought we were waiting for the playoffs, etc. I think what we saw is what we got. But then we go 9-1 to end the season and I got hopeful again, I'm now assuming it might've been cause we were playing for Daniel.. Now I don't know what to think..
Our team needs to adapt to their opponents. Hopefully they find it tomorrow night.

They can't adapt to their opponents if they can't even play their own game...
I find it hard to believe the Canucks can win 4 of the next 5 games.
I love my team love this team but as someone else mentioned they are just off and this is not the year it seems.
I really like the forward core minus Raymond. Defense needs 2 or 3 new faces. I hope MG does two things. Fires the entire coaching staff, trade schneider for some defensive depth and be in the Suter hunt to shore it up.
Luongo is not the problem.
Btw, does anyone else think this series looks eerily similar to the Chicago series in 2010? I swear I am Watching it all over again.

Trading Schneider for anything but a scoring winger if we also got Suter would be beyond stupid.
The team hasn't been as consistently dominant this year, to be sure. But we still have a strong nucleus of great players who can get the job done. A winning four of five games is most certainly not out of the question for a team that has won 120 of their last 191 games.
I have a slightly better record than xtra: I was at the game vs Kings two years ago where they pulled their goalie twice. I also have game 7 tickets. At first I was pretty sure it wont get to that, now I hope the game happens.
Not going to lie, the way Edler has regressed the past few months, I wouldn't be against moving him while he's got a year left on his deal and throwing silly money at Suter. Sigh, the angst and depression of a Canucks playoff meltdown

Well I'm glad you have tickets and hope xtra doesn't.

ya, if ever there was a classic "i have no freaking idea what to think situation", it's this one...
i can just as easily talk myself into 2 lines of thinking:
1. They will wake up and play like we know they can in time to right the ship. Could even take 4 straight. They stunk it up in games 4 & 5 vs Chicago then rode momentum all the way to the SCF game 7. You don't win b2b prez cups by accident.
2. As you say, most of the wins have been unimpressive this year, and current problems are not surface deep -- maj problem vs a good & hungry LA team. A flameout right now would be disastrous, and hard for this team to recover from in anything resembling this current form, if we expect different results next year.
it's an agonizing line ... most likely we'll know after tomorrow

Sure. No issues with that. Bottom line is the window to win still exists and while Schneider provides goalie protection, his being an asset that really could've made an impact in this roster hurt the team.
Booth better have a stro g off season program that includes learning to play d, edler better learn to hit again.
I know alot are optimistic but again doesn't this just feel like 2010 2nd round? Canucks trying hard but just not close enough.
Also anyone else thinking like me that Letting Erhoff walk was an idiotic move by Gillis?
If it was me I would have waived Ballard and resigned Erhoff.... 5 million to much for Gillis? Well guess what Erhoff was integral to our Stanley cup final run.
Seriously where the heck are we gonna get a defensemen for around 4.5-5 million that has Erhoff's petegree?
Our problem I think is that we created bad habits, thinking we could turn it on at will. But playing good, sound, mistake-free hockey is a habit, not something you can suddenly start doing.
We've been playing our game and been reasonable at it. But our guys are still readapting to it, which is why there has been so many mistakes. Its partially because the team coasted and partially because AV refused to do anything other than put lines on a blender.

Whatever management was thinking this past off-season, they ****ed up mightily. Expecting a bounce back year from Ballard? Expecting Tanev to be able to step in and supply some support from the backend? Ditto with Torres. Should have offered the bloody two year deal if thats all that was holding Raffi from coming back here. Instead they sign Sturm to a bigger cap hit for this season? Terrible. We all knew it back in July that the team was taking steps backwards.
The key to the game tomorrow is going to be to play simple, straightforward, honest hockey. Work hard. Go to the net. Shoot the puck. Backcheck hard. Hit when you have the chance.
Sometimes simplicity is the best way. Tomorrow is going to be one of those times. Just go play a good road game. Work hard, and get yourselves back in the series.

We obviously let ehrhoff go cause we are going after weber. Isn't it obvious to you?
The Torres move was the really bad one, as he was really good in the playoffs. I wanted Ehrhoff back as well but with the pricetag and his playoff performance it was more justifiable.
