Avs fan voting for Schneider, I think he handles adversity best in that he can be successful bailing a team out and he's not going to start moping because he doesn't get everything he wants the way Anderson did last year.
I see how hard the Blues work for Elliott when he is in net, he is a great fit in the locker-room, and is comfortable in his role as back-up/1B to sign a cheap extension with the Blues.
Is upside relevant for one season (the OP's question)? Anderson has experience on his side (the only guy who's currently a starter), but is pretty average. Elliot has one great season, one horrid season, and some average play before that (but Ottawa was pretty bad during his time there), and Schneider has looked great as a back-up (on a very strong team), but is an unknown as a starter.
If the question was long term, I'd go with Schneider, but for one season right now, it's a tough choice. I'd probably go with Els and pray that he is not the result of the blues system, or Anderson as a known commodity. Backup stats always scare me (I think of the Stl system as a 1a 1b situation, am I wrong about this?)

Its that way because Elliott forced it to be that way. Halak started as the clear number 1, with Elliott and Bishop both on two-way contracts battling for the back-up position. Elliott barely won on the merit of his NHL experience. Halak was shaky to start the season, and Elliott did a great job holding down the fort. His play forced the Blues into a 1A/1B situation.

This makes sense, as Elliot doesn't have the traditionally sheltered starts of a backup (he starts his fair share against strong teams).
Thanks for confirming my suspicions and glad to hear Blues fans are enjoying Els, I for one loved him in Ottawa despite his recent lousy season..
For me it's Schneider easily, so impressed watching this kid play, his lateral movement/positioning is unreal, goes post-to-post SO quickly while almost never overcommitinging. I believe he would be a good starter in any system. Anderson is very talented but too inconsistent, tough to say what you're gonna get on any given night. Elliott put up unreal numbers with the Blues this year, but looked like a poor starter/good backup behind more porous defense in Ottawa and Colorado, my guess is that he'd look similar to that in Toronto.
