Would Washington have to add for the move up the board or are those 2 firsts worth the move up? Would Toronto want more coming back for the 5th overall?
Would a change of cap guys say a Brouwer for Lombardi be too much for Wash. Toronto would get a more physical player and save a few dollars on the cap.
What could be the basis of a deal around the 3 picks.

I actually would not be surprised to see Schneider go for a mid first round pick. The Caps might have to add a prospect, but this doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.
Leafs need a franchise C. Forsberg, Galchenyuk and Girgorenko can all fill that need (maybe Forsberg to a lesser extent if he stays a LW in the NHL), at least 1 of 3 of whom will be potentially available at #5. In other words, the only player available on the Caps that would make the Leafs consider dealing it would be Backstrom, but obviously that won't happen.
Leafs high end blue chip prospects: Kadri + Gardiner
The Leafs have LOTS of players that could turn out to be steals and become a good 2nd, 3rd liner like McKegg, Frattin, Olden, Ross etc. Another high end talent is what the Leafs need not the 11th and 16th overall most of which never become more than serviceable players, if that.
Alzner is definitely worth more than Schenn as of now, and I don't think Schenn would net you the 5th pick right now. Most importantly, since the difference between 11th and 15th is relatively small, Schenn isn't worth (almost) twice as much as Schneider, as an earlier post suggested, to say the very least.
Schenn for 11 + 15 (or whatever it ends up being).
Trade 11 to Vancouver for Schneider.
Draft 5 and 15 (or whatever it ends up being).
LOL. Schenn won't fetch 2 mid first rounders. Schneider will fetch 2 first rounders, or a first or 2nd and a top level prospect. Simply look at the Varlamov trade (who fetched a 1st and 2nd). Schneider will likely get a bit more.
Thats the same poster who thinks Yakupov can be had for scraps yet 5th overall can only be obtained when two top 4 D are coming back. lmao what a joke.
